Meadowbrook Community Garden and Orchard NE SEATTLE MAP 10533 35th Ave NE (Northeast Seattle) Meadowbrook Community Gardens and Orchards (MCGO) is sited in the NE Seattle Suggested Route neighborhood of Seattle Parks/Meadowbrook Park. It is a community-based, plant diverse location, which years ago was a nine hole golf course, once developed by an oil company. This orchard includes three stands of fruit trees that were planted by a Chinese American gardener from the 1950’s to the 1970’s. Official restoration work began in 2007 after the orchard was overtaken by invasive plants, and eventually an access trail to the orchard was completed in 2008. This orchard hosts 20 fruit tree varieties, including many successful grafts.
