It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. The people of East Central Illinois are known for their generosity. But not many area people leave gifts to charity in their wills or estates. With that in mind, area managers of wealth and non-profit organizations established the Planned Giving Information Consortium (PGIC) of East Central Illinois devoted to educating the general public about philanthropy in general and about planned giving in specific. The Little Theatre On The Square is a member of and supports the efforts of this consortium. Leave A Legacy - PGIC has embarked on an initiative that will help further its mission to educate the public and promote the cause of charitable giving through bequests, lifetime giving with retention of income, and estate plans. Leave A Legacy's goal is to remind people that they can make a difference in the lives that follow theirs. Frequently asked questions: How do I leave a gift for my favorite nonprofit organization? It's easy. You can arrange for a gift several ways. The most common is through a charitable gift in a will or living trust. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount. Others leave a percentage of their estate or any assets left over after their family has been provided for. Some people donate something they own, like a car or their home. Others leave a paid life insurance policy, retirement account or other financial investment Do Itell the organization that I have left a gift? That is up to you. Nonprofit organizations like to know in advance so they can recognize your generosity. They can also tell you about specific opportunities for giving. Must I have a sizable estate in order to leave a gift? Everyone can leave a gift. 'Estate' is simply a word used to describe any amount of money, property or personal belongings that you may have at the time of your death. Most people leave an estate when they die, even though they may not have a great deal of wealth. Many gifts are less than $1,000. How do I leave a gift to a specific organization? A charitable bequest will not take effect unless you state your intention in your will or living trust.

Based on the classic 1989 film, Westerberg High is ruled by a posse of mean girls: Heather, Heather and Heather, the hottest and cruelest girls in all of Ohio. When misfit Veronica rejects their evil regime for the dark and sexy new guy, J.D., their relationship starts racking up a body count. From the writers of “Desperate Housewives” and “Bat Boy” comes this explosive new musical. Critics have praised Heathers: The Musical as “Sassy, sexy, and oh so smart! Heathers deserves to run with the popular crowd!” — David Cote, Time Out New York; “A rowdy guilty pleasure!” — Ben Brantley, New York Times; and “Heathers still cliques…Ingenious, naughty and very funny!” — Elisabeth Vincentelli, New York Post. Directed by Cynthia Levin and Missy Koonce, the play features Katie Karel as Veronica Sawyer; Molly Denninghoff as Heather Chandler; Colleen Grate as Heather McNamara; Chioma Anyanwu as Heather Duke; Shon Ruffin as Martha Dunnstock; Teddy Trice as Ram Sweeney; Jacob Aaron Cullum as Kurt Kelly; Thomas Delgado as J.D.; Vincent Onofrio Monachino as Ram’s Dad, Bud Dean, Coach Ripper; Val Fagan as Ms.

  • 2008 Theatre Season List
Adolpho Blaire’s 2018 Theatre Season List All Seasons announced as of January 31st, 2018 www.justdolphy.com 1 Welcome to this year’s THEATRE SEASON LIST - a special guide to the seasons and trends of the 2018 theatre season among regional and stock theatres throughout the United States. This list is a labor of love of mine and this also marks the 16th year since I began putting it together. As far as I know the information is correct but there have been mistakes in the past so always check with the theatre’s website as well as the AEA website, particularly for the union contract as these change from time to time. If you happen to find outdated or incorrect information, please contact me at [email protected] THE SEASON This season overwhelmingly finds it’s most popular title in Mamma Mia! with a whopping 33 showings. For plays, both A Raisin in the Sun and Noises Off have proved to be trendy with 8 theatres putting each title in their seasons. Even with a healthy amount of runs in 2017, newer titles like Million Dollar Quartet, Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame, and The 39 Steps have continued to find interest around the country. First-run titles finding significant showings include Fun Home, Murder for Two, A Doll’s House Part 2, Shakespeare in Love, Skeleton Crew, Constellations, Heisenberg and The Wolves, – many of which should continue into 2019 seasons. And many beloved classics are making popular comebacks this season like Oklahoma! (celebrating its 75 anniversary), Singin’ in the Rain (also popular in 2017) as well as The Pirates of Penzance (which has rounded out the last 4 years as a popular title).

If you would like more information, please contact us at [email protected]. Introduction Approximately 90 cubic feet The Double Helix Corporation Records document the activities of a non-profit, community media corporation incorporated in St. Louis in 1971 to preserve and expand non-commercial, community broadcasting. The records reflect Double Helix's search for radio and TV broadcasting frequencies after the demise of KDNA radio. The collection includes petitions to the FCC for share-time with radio stations KSLH and KHRU as well as later applications for television broadcasting on Channels 18, 40, and 46. Opposing petitions filed by competitors for these frequencies, including the independent petition filed by KETC-TV for the use of Channel 40. The FCC ruling on the television channels appears within the series as well as Double Helix's application for a federal grant, correspondence, minutes, notes, and membership lists. Also included in the collection are programming tapes from KDNA/KDHX. Double Helix, a non-profit media corporation, was incorporated in St. Louis on August 12, 1971, to preserve and expand the non-commercial, community broadcasting of radio, station KDNA-FM. KDNA was founded in 1969 as an independent radio station providing programming alternatives to commercial stations, the first "underground" station in St. Louis. It was supported by private contributions until the founding of Double Helix, which sought to secure the station's financial basis as a public, non-profit group.
