It is a tradition of giving and sharing that is primary to the quality of life. The people of East Central Illinois are known for their generosity. But not many area people leave gifts to charity in their wills or estates. With that in mind, area managers of wealth and non-profit organizations established the Planned Giving Information Consortium (PGIC) of East Central Illinois devoted to educating the general public about philanthropy in general and about planned giving in specific. The Little Theatre On The Square is a member of' and supports the efforts of this consortium. Leave A Legacy - PGIC has embarked on an initiative that will help further its mission to educate the public and promote the cause of charitable giving through bequests, lifetime giving with retention of income, and estate plans. Leave A Legacy's goal is to remind people that they can make a difference in the lives that follow theirs. Frequently asked questions: How do I leave a gift for my favorite nonprofit organization? It's easy. You can arrange for a gift several ways. The most common is through a charitable gift in a will or living trust. Many people set aside a certain dollar amount. Others leave a percentage of their estate or any assets left over after their family has been provided for. Some people donate something they own, like a car or their home. Others leave a paid life insurance policy, retirement account or other
