    Representasi Demit Sebagai Identitas Manusia dalam TV Serial Televisi HBO Asia Halfworlds (2015) Oleh: Rizki Zulkifli (071115098) – C Email: [email protected] ABSTRAK Fokus dari penelitian ini adalah representasi Demit sebagai identitas manusia yang ditampilkan di TV series Halfworlds oleh Joko Anwar pada episode 1-8. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi makna bagaimana Demit digambarkan melalui visualisasi dan dialog dalam Halfworlds episode 1-8 oleh Joko Anwar. Visualisasi Demit melalui Halfworlds memiliki kesamaan sifat dan bentuk dengan manusia yaitu kekerasan, dan sentimen. Juga dalam Halfwords terdapat 5 jenis Demit dimana pada film Indonesia lain hanya menampilkan 1 sampai 2 jenis demit. Untuk mengetahui makna dibalik kekerasan dan perasaan emosi yang ditampilkan oleh Demit dalam Halfworlds, peneliti menggunakan analisis semiotika Roland Barthes untuk menganalisis secara denotas, konotasi dan mitos. Melalui penelitian ini ditemukan bahwa kekerasan dan sentimen merupakan penggambaran situasi yang dihadapi oleh Demit dan manusia, kekerasan yang ditampilkan merupakan bagian dari identitas yang di miliki oleh Demit Halfworldsdimana Demit dalam Halfworlds memiliki superiotas diatas manusia, kekerasan juga ditampilkan sebagai bagian dari identitas maskulin dimana Demit perempuan juga ikut andil dalam melakukan kekerasan. Demit sebagai makhluk yang memiliki emosi juga merupakan bagian dari identitas dimana makna yang tersimpan dari hal itu adalah Demit memiliki sifat yang menyerupai manusia. peneliti kemudian menemukan mitos kekerasan yang ditampilkan, keduamitos pembunuhan yang ditampilkan, ketiga mitos kekerasan sebagai bagian dari maskulinitas Demit, dan yang keempat mitos Demit makhluk yang mempunyai emosi sentimen baik terhadap Demit maupun manusia.
