Staff Encouaged to Get on Their Bikes for Ride to Work Day Submitted By: Carole Nash Tuesday, 14 June 2011
Staff encouaged to Get On their bikes for Ride to Work Day Submitted by: Carole Nash Tuesday, 14 June 2011 Staff at an Altrincham firm are all set to be to be taken for a ride this Monday (June 20th)! To mark international Ride To Work Day motorcycle insurance (http://www.carolenash.com) specialist Carole Nash has arranged free bike training sessions for workers at its Manchester Road headquarters. Qualified instructors from the motorcycle industry’s Get On campaign will teach biking basics such as using the throttle and gears whilst giving them first-hand experience of riding. The company is converting its car park into a secure training area for the day so it can offer training sessions for up to 44 staff. It’s the latest move by the company to encourage its staff to take up biking so they can enjoy greater affinity with customers. It already provides free training and covers test fees for any member of staff who wants to complete biking’s Compulsory Basic Training course or take the full motorcycle test. Over 120 workers have done just that with others, like commercial director Simon Jackson, having already gained their bike certificate before joining the company. “Carole Nash is an enthusiastic supporter of both the Get On and Ride to Work campaigns,” said Mr. Jackson. “Our social committee came up with the idea of bringing the two together and management were more than happy to help make it happen. Ride to Work Day is great way of highlighting biking’s many benefits such as considerable time and costs savings and the satisfying experience of beating ever increasing congestion. -
