The administration and con­ duct of Division II Baseball Championship is under the control, direction and supervision of the Division II representatives of the NCAA Baseball Committee. Members of the present committee are: Donald K. Edwards, University of California, Riverside; Harold Kraft, Univer­ sity of North Dakota; James A. Martin, Tuskegee Institute. The Baseball Committee annually appoints games committees to actively supervise the conduct of the finals of the three division cham­ pionships. Members of the Games Committee for 1979 for Division II are: Edwards, chairman; Kraft, Martin and Tom Blanco and Charles Westphal from the local committees. The Division II Baseball Championship provides for a maximum field of 32 teams. All teams are selected at large by eight regional selec­ tion committees and conference champions do not qualify automatically. Winners of the eight regional qualify for the -elimination championship at Lanphier Park.
