Price List

Notes 1. Give each item a logical reference number. 2. Price List items should be identifiable with work items on any required programme. 3. Do not have too many items. 4. Items need not to be site construction activities; design stages, preparation of a Health and Safety Plan etc are legitimate descriptions provided that there are clear deliverables. 5. Do not use sub-items or ‘collections’. (If data is needed for cost control, keep it separate from the Price List) 6. Lump sum ‘activity’ items: If the Contractor is to be paid an amount for the item which is not adjusted if the quantity of work in the item changes, the tendering contractor enters the amount in the Price column only, the Unit, the Quantity and Rate columns being left blank. 7. Items are to be separate, clearly identified, piece of work. (Payment follows completion of an item, so define what this involves if completion may be difficult to decide.) 8. Quantity based items: If a Contractor is to be paid an amount for the item of work which is the rate of the work multiplied by the quantity completed, the tendering contractor enters the rate which is then multiplied by the expected quantity to produce the Price which is also entered. 9. Payment only happens if completed work is itemised and priced on the Price List. Make sure everything is covered.
