SOCIAL MEDIA MARKETER OF TOMORROW is looking for her next Brand Ambassador!

Imagine you have been hired as the social media coordinator at Nasty Gal and your first task is to launch the Nasty Gal Brand Ambassador Program! Create a written proposal and video outlining how you will launch and promote the program at your high school or college.

>> ABOUT THE COMPANY: Nasty Gal is a global online destination for fashion-forward, free-thinking girls and women. In 2006, founder Sophia Amoruso started an eBay store selling a highly curated selection of vintage pieces. Since then, the shop has grown to become an international style source offering both new and vintage clothing, shoes, and accessories.

>> WHAT IS A BRAND AMBASSADOR?: A person who is hired by an organization or company to represent a brand and help increase brand awareness and sales.

DIRECTIONS PART 1 - WRITE A PROMOTION PLAN: >> Outline your strategy for launching the Brand Ambassador program at your high school or college in a 200-word, double-spaced, printed essay on 8.5 x 11” paper. Include what the program is and what tactics/actions you will use to meet your goals. Consider how you will promote the ambassador program on campus. How would you attract ambassadors to join the program? What incentives will you offer?

PAGE 1 OF 2 PART 2 - IDENTIFY THREE POTENTIAL NASTY GAL BRAND AMBASSADOR CANDIDATES: >> Include the name, social media handle(s), a photograph, and a three-sentence explanation for each candidate along with a two-sentence explanation for why they would be a great brand ambassador. They can be your friends, family, or any influencer you find on social media.

PART 3 - PROMOTION MOCKUP: >> Include at least one visual example of how you would promote the Nasty Gal Brand Ambassador on your campus. This could be a flyer or a social media post (Instagram photo or Facebook post, for example) that you mockup using Photoshop or similar software. Print your Promotion Mockup(s) on 8.5 x 11” paper and include with your essay materials from Parts Two and Three.

PART 4 - CREATE A VIDEO PITCH: >> Create a 60-second video for # Sophia Amoruso to convince her why your Nasty Gal Brand Ambassador candidates should be chosen. The video should be creative, high-energy, and include as many captivating visuals as possible. Upload your video to YouTube or Vimeo and include the link in your essay materials.

Place all scholarship materials into a single folder and attach a copy of the completed Project Entry Form with your name, address and phone number clearly printed. Mail completed projects (postmarked by April 30, 2017) to:
