Hello Friends of the Library! As each year comes to a close, we review what we accomplished and finalize our list of goals that we intend to carry out the following year. Looking to the new year, there should be many good experiences to come. Story times will start back up on January 18; we puppets always look forward to the cozy winter months of spending time with stories and good friends. The dogs will be back to listen to young readers for our B.A.R.K. program in the spring, as will the fuzzy stars of our Books and Bunnies program for Easter week. There will be some dance and movement opportunities, as well. If you know me, you know I love to dance, so I am excited about that. Miss Sparkles will have her kids back for Kids’ Club, too. Winter Crafternoons—New! Library Craft Group Sundays from 3:00-5:00 PM (feel free to come and go) Meeting Room C January 10, February 14, and March 13 Calling all crafty people! Come along to our new group to meet up with others and discuss your latest creations. The group is open to all kinds of crafty people including knitters, felters, cross-stitchers, scrapbookers, and more. The Library is the ideal place to get together and share your skills, thanks to the relaxed environment and extensive craft book collections we offer. Maybe you'll find the inspiration for your next big project. Feel free to join us, and bring your latest project with you. No registration required.

NOTABLE NUMBERS NOTEWORTHY EVENTS: MAY// 500 Lincoln Elementary Students toured the bookmobile and received a special story time Miles Traveled: 6,084.6 from Miss Sparkles. June// Participated in the Summer Reading Generator Hours: 710 Kickoff and had 270 people visit the bookmobile. SEPTEMBER// Started a new Fall schedule and attended the Items in BCB Collection: 22,582 North Dakota Library Association Conference in Jamestown. Had a 38720 items checked out by 6,742 people visit from Cliff Naylor and Megan Mitchell who did a bookmobile Individual Visits: 9,696 segment on KFYR. OCTOBER// An article was published in the Bismarck Tribune featuring the Bookmobile in Wing. We attended the 3rd annual Zoo Boo dressed as Peanuts characters and had 1,436 visitors! Ended the month by travelling to St. Charles, IL to attend the Association of Bookmobile & Outreach Services Conference. NOVEMBER// Added an additional 70 eBooks for our Senior Citizen NOOK book club. DECEMBER// Wrapped up our 2015 year with our December visits reaching 940 individuals making our annual total 9,696! Thanks for a great year and cheers to 2016!
