UNIVERSITY OF SOUTHERN USC SUSTAINABILITY MEMORIAL COLISEUM WASTE DIVERSION STUDENT COORDINATOR JOB ANNOUNCEMENT

Position: Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum Waste Diversion Student Coordinator: (15 hours per week)

Starting Date: ASAP/Fall 2017

Position Description: Here is your chance to make a difference reducing the environmental impact of USC! We are looking for dedicated and energetic students to lead the coliseum waste diversion program. The Coliseum Waste Diversion student coordinator works closely with Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum (LAMC) and USC Sustainability to support the Coliseum waste diversion program. The LAMC was able to achieve zero waste for both teams last year. Help us make all games zero waste going forward.

Duties include but are not limited to: coordinating with concessions, stadium operations, and custodial staff, facilitation of the fan engagement tent, auditing and producing reports of vendor compliance, and evaluation of program.

This position is best suited for someone who enjoys working with people and is not afraid to get their hands dirty. The Coliseum Waste Diversion Coordinator(s) is/are expected to work all home football games for Fall 2017 USC and football games (roughly 16-20 events from August to January).

Preferential Qualifications: 1. Experience in effectively coordinating large groups 2. Excellent oral communication skills. 3. Ability to articulate and disseminate information. 4. Basic knowledge of sustainability practices on campus, including waste diversion practices. 5. Ability to attend all Fall 2017 football games for both the USC Trojans and Los Angeles Rams a must.

Compensation: This position starts at $12.00/hr
