Guest speaker Angela Gray, Jefferson County Property Appraiser and a board member for the Jefferson County Educational Foundation, spoke about Tiger Pride and encouraged all to “concentrate on the positive, don't waste time on the negative. Let's concentrate on student government and share our struggles by coming out of the ashes like a Phoenix. We can and will do better, together.” A table was set-up with information and brochures about the new 'Support Education' license tags that may be purchased and issued now. On Tuesday, Jan. 29, Aucilla Christian Academy's first graders and kindergarten students celebrated the 100th Day of School for ACA's current school year with style – 100-year-old style. The students arrived at school as aged versions of themselves, complete with canes, shawls around their shoulders, fake bushy mustaches and eyebrows, curlers and spectacles. Throughout the day, the kindergarten and first grade students enjoyed creating 100-piece “fruity” necklaces and counting to 100 in a word search. 100 Days of School bookmarks and a celebration of yummy, delicious cookies were also enjoyed by the dressed-up student.
