Four young recruits and two Army veterans await the orders that will send them to Vietnam. Threatened and altered by forces beyond their control, herded, confined and stripped of all protective armor, they are driven into a confrontation as violent and psychologically devastating as war itself when it is learned that one of them is homosexual.
