Christopher (a.k.a. Darwin) is fondly remembered by some folks as a skinny, towheaded kid, growing up in Austin, who daydreamed a lot. Ah yes, but out of those very daydreams has emerged Christopher Starr, perhaps Darwin's own best fantasy come to life, a fully-realized product; tan, taut, talented, and very much a professional. Seems that skinny kid found some serious motivation, worked on his body, worked on his face, worked up some snazzy routines, and found himself on TV's Dance Fever. That appearance led to a gig in Japan last sum- mer, dancing in a flashy cabaret act. His real name didn't have-well-star quality, so he opted to become Christopher Starr. Now, he has formed his own troupe of entertainers, the Starr Dancers, who have made a number of memorable appearances (such as a Mardi Gras Finale blowout, before a cheering crowd of 4,000 in downtown Houston). Christopher is 25, stands 5'10", weighs around 158 Ibs. andhas blue-grayeyes. He loves to read, likes all kinds of music, and is an avid collector of stars. As these photographs (made at Houston's Copa) will testify, Christopher himself radiates a rather special glow. At- taboy, Darwin. Shine on. 'IJIT
