Hawkeye is easily one of the best marksmen in all of . Likewise, Green Arrow is one of the best archers within the world of DC. Over the years, the similarities between the two have sparked a lot of debate among fans as to who the better archer is. Going beyond their skills, the two are incredibly similar in other aspects of their character. For Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the pros and cons associated with the both of them, each has proven to be incredibly valuable to their respective teams. In a one-on-one battle though, there are still certain factors that give one the edge over the other. To factor into the debate, here is our contribution to the Hawkeye vs Green Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye argument, and who is really the better marksman. Yet, the one that many fans continue to bring up is Hawkeye versus Green Arrow. On top of the items already mentioned, we have a few more to add. True leadership of something like the Justice League On the other hand, Hawkeye has had plenty of experience leading teams. He was the one who built the original West Coast Avengers to a force comparable with the East Coast version. He also helped hone the skills of the villains-turned-heroes of the Thunderbolts. In turn, they became the next generation of archers in their respective universes. The first one, of course, was Roy Harper, the former Speedy. The other was Ollie's son, Connor Hawke. He became Green Arrow when his father sacrificed Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye to prevent the destruction of Metropolis. Meanwhile, Kate took on the mantle of Hawkeye when Clint was presumed dead. Honing her already expert archery skills, Kate became a member of the Young Avengers. When Clint returned from the dead, he allowed Kate to keep the name and assisted in her training. Save for his marriage to Mockingbird, Hawkeye is someone who isn't sure which way to turn when it comes to relationships. Most of these have turned out poorly for him. Especially when he courted , which raised the ire of her sometimes lover . On the other hand, Ollie has been fairly manganous during his tenure as a superhero. Though he lost contact with her during the New 52 era, the pair reunited once again during Rebirth. Both archers are passionate about their roles as heroes. However, Hawkeye has the edge when it comes to Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye. It's true he's had his differences with leaders, particularly , but they have rarely come to all-out shouting matches. Conversely, Green Arrow Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye a team player during the earliest days Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the Justice League. It wasn't until the late 60s, when his conscience shifted, did he start to have issues with Superman, Batman, and Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye members. Most of his arguments came from differences in battling villains between himself and Hawkman. Since his introduction in the s, Green Arrow's costume has maintained a comfort that allowed him the flexibility to use his arrows. As the times changed, the arrow hat disappeared and was replaced by a hood for use when hidden from a criminal. The green hue of his Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye has also gotten darker to blend with the surroundings. What about Hawkeye's costumes? Well, the less we say about them the better. Before that, they were certainly meant to show Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye instead to cover up. Green Arrow, on the other hand, has squared off against threats like Dark Archer, Count Vertigo, Shado, and many more. Each of them has had their moments to shine amongst the other members and each has dealt devastating blows to incredible threats. However, Green Arrow certainly has the advantage with villains specific to him. During his time with S. Furthermore, his time with the circus as a child made him incredibly nimble and acrobatic. He is also proficient with several other types of weaponry and is an excellent on top of being an excellent archer. Though Green Arrow is still a great hand-to-hand fighter, he relies on his equipment far more than Hawkeye does, firmly establishing Hawkeye as the victor in this regard. While Hawkeye may be the better combatant, Green Arrow is definitely the better archer. In terms of accuracy, the two Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye them are actually evenly matched. Over the years, they have Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye shown to be just as accurate or inaccurate as the story demands. What gives Green Arrow the edge in this regard is in his numbers. During the Green Arrow: Quiver storyline, Oliver Queen was confirmed to fire 33 arrows accurately per minute. While Hawkeye is still deadly with a bow and arrow, he is just slightly slower than Green Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye. As a result, Green Arrow has proven to be the master of the bow and arrow. For as annoying a character as Green Arrow can be, many other heroes in the DC Universe understand that Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye heart is in the right place. Hawkeye still has some pretty powerful allies, though the Justice League would have a much easier time battling the Avengers than vice versa. Furthermore, Hawkeye has much fewer immediate allies than Green Arrow making Green Arrow the victor in this case. In actuality, Green Arrow is 23 years older than Hawkeye in terms of publication. However, each characters fictional backstory is what gives Hawkeye the edge in this regard. Clint Barton, however, began training from an incredibly young age. Hence, Barton was able to master more skills in other areas, which is why he is the better combatant. Each character is incredibly loveable yet annoying in their own right. Though they can both be sassy and annoying to their fellow teammates, they each possess enough character to make them incredibly likeable. One of the biggest differences is that Clint Barton tends to get a Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye darker than Oliver Queen at times. In all honesty, Green Arrow is far from the smartest person in his respective universe. Though he is still very smart, he has a knack for making impulsive decisions, bad Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye, and dumb moves. Hawkeye, unlike Green Arrow, is much more calculated with his moves and decisions. As mentioned previously, Green Arrow relies on his equipment far more frequently than Hawkeye. However, the two of them tend to carry incredibly similar objects around with them on the regular. Of course, there is the signature bow and arrows associated with the two. Each of them also has a fair assortment of trick Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye, using them to get out of whatever sticky situation they may be in. The two have also been seen to carry knives, tech, and small explosives to help them accomplish what a bow and arrow cannot. Thus, the two are evenly matched when it comes to equipment. At the end of the day, the Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye characters are simply no more than Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye. They each use an assortment of armor and costumes to protect them from certain objects, but both characters are only as strong or as fragile as the other. However, the fact that they are both normal humans also makes them such intriguing characters. Likewise, each character has died, and each has made a triumphant return. In regards to their opponents, they have also proven to be incredibly difficult to put down, resulting in a tie for this round. Both heroes managed to pull off incredible feats just moments before their deaths. After sacrificing himself in an explosion, Oliver Queen remained dead for years while his son took over the mantle of Green Arrow. When Oliver returned though, author Kevin Smith took the opportunity to deeply explore the character and his motivations. The result was a fantastic look into why Green Arrow always chose to do what he does. By the end, the result was one of the most heartfelt and inspiring superhero resurrections to date. Green Arrow is such an integral part of DC lore, that he recently received a device from Martian Manhunter that is capable of destroying the entire Justice League. Manhunter noted to Green Arrow at the time that he was so pure Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye heart, he knew that Oliver would only activate the device if he knew there was no more hope for the League. Title: The Last of the Mohicans The last members of a dying Native American tribe, the Mohicans -- Uncas, his father Chingachgook, and his adopted half-white brother Hawkeye -- live in peace alongside British colonists. But when the daughters of a British colonel are kidnapped by a traitorous scout, Hawkeye and Uncas must rescue them in the crossfire of a gruesome military conflict of which they wanted no part: the French and Indian War. Written by Jwelch First I saw the movie and got excited by the beautiful backdrop scenery. Then I found out that the two main historical events depicted, the and fall of Fort William Henry Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the subsequent massacre, actually happened. So I saw the movie again. Then I read the book. Then I read a good book about the French and Indian War. This is an instance where the movie deviates from the book and is the better for it. Then I' pleased with the fact that history wasn't tampered with, at least not too much. Historians aren't sure how the Fort William Henry massacre was triggered or how complete it was; it IS documented that the massacre actually happened. I find no historical record of Colonel Munro conducting any campaign of lodge-burning against the Huron; but then again it IS documented that Munro did not have any daughters. Those characters are in the book as well Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the movie. Cooper invented them himself. The idea of Huron war parties raiding on the frontier doesn't pop up Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the book or the historical record, but it's perfectly plausible; the native Americans fought that way all through the Coloinal period. The savagery of Native American warfare is depicted fairly accurately; all accounts I have confirm that. The concept of taking captives is depicted accurately too, for the reasons described. Being of the bent that I am, I find the dual love stories involving 1 the Cora Munro-Hawkeye-Major Heywood triangle and 2 the Uncas-Alice Munro relationship all well and good; they were done well enough. I was more fascinated by the historical Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye and the very nice North Carolina scenery, which is supposed to mimic the Adirondacks, where the story is set. For those with time on their hands and money to spend, both Fort William Henry and Fort Carillon better known as Fort Ticonderog exist; they have been fully restored and are now historical museums. I visited Fort Ticonderoga when I was 12 years old, and found it fascinating. What I really recommend is to see the movie once, enjoying the scenery and the love stories, as well as the action. Then see the movie again, from Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye different perspective. Looking for something to watch? Choose an adventure below and discover your next favorite movie or TV show. Trivia When the Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye was pushed back from its original summer release in to September, Composer Randy Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye was brought in to provide additional music after Trevor Jones could not return to the film due to other commitments after having written about fifty minutes of music to rework his score from the film's original three hour cut. Edelman would provide about twenty-eight-and-a-half minutes. Edelman was then in charge of assembling the music for the new cut of the film which clocked in at about minutes which included Jones' music, Edelman's, and all the source material by Daniel Lanois and Clannad. Jones and Edelman did not work together on the score which is why their names on the credits are separate from one another. The subsequent soundtrack album also represents this as Jones' music is separated from Edelman's as the album's first half is Jones' score followed by Edelman's and ending with Clannad's song to round it out. All told with their musical contributions to the film, Jones and Edelman's score combined round out to approximately seventy-eight minutes without the source music. Goofs The flare launched from Fort William Henry during the bombardment Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye was equipped with a parachute to provide longer use. This type of flare was not invented until shortly before the First World War. Alternate Versions The Director's Definitive cut placed back mostly Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye from the Theatrical release leaving some of the things from the Director's Expanded Edition still intact. Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye following scene in which the soldiers tell the people to join the fight, it shows the major sitting on his horse. It leaves almost no time difference. Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the Mohawk's chief talks, the TC shows Jack from a side-wise shot. Both cuts have a different beginning of the scene. The DDC begins with a different shot that is focused on Jack while he's talking. Duncan enters in the background and tells the soldier what to do. Then, there's the extension that can also be found in the old DC. Still, some words seem to be added at the end of some of the lines: Settler: "Any Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye the boys worth havin' can disappear in the forest. He stated: "Their Latinate voluptuousness combines with their Gallic laziness and the result is [they'd rather eat and make love with their faces than fight. A shot of Hawkeye looking angrily at Duncan and then starting to look more mild and almost mockingly was deleted. In the Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye, he's seen grinning only. The camera Hawkeye: This Is Hawkeye along the battlefield a bit earlier. The side-wise shot of a gun being positioned is shorter.
