Onboard the Delta River Flatboat we will travel the scenic river winding through the 4.5-acre indoor garden decorated in Christmas finery. Get acquainted with your traveling companions during dinner at the hotel. The remainder of the evening is free for you to stroll through the Parade of Trees featured throughout the hotel and watch the Brightest Light Show in the Atrium, a breathtaking synchronization of light, water and music. (D) Day 2: Monday, November 29 This morning a local guide will take us on a passage through Nashville’s rich history. We’ll see world-famous Tootsie’s Orchid Lounge on Honky Tonk Row. During our drive along Music Row we’ll learn about the music industry and the many stars who call Nashville home. Next we’ll step aboard the General Jackson Showboat for a fun afternoon. While “rollin’ down the river” enjoy stunning views, a delicious holiday meal, complete with all the trimmings and lively musical entertainment that explores the many musical styles that make Christmas in Tennessee so special. We return to the hotel where the remainder of the afternoon is free for you to experience ICE!, a magical adventure taking you through two million pounds of hand-carved, interactive ice sculptures that are kept at a chilly 9°F. This evening we will take our seats for a festive Christmas Dinner Show at the hotel. Later, explore the outdoor Nativity, featuring 55 life-sized figurines, and some of the hotel’s three million holiday lights that adorn the exterior of the sprawling property. (B, L, D) Day 3: Tuesday, November 30 We start our day with a visit to the Historic RCA Studio B known as the “Cradle of the Nashville Sound.” More than 35,000 recordings came to life in Studio B, including 1,000 hits and over 200 Elvis recordings. This historic studio was once the recording home of popular music titans such as Eddy Arnold, the Everly Brothers, Waylon Jennings, Dolly Parton, Jim Reeves and many others; if you close your eyes, you can almost imagine them there. Our next stop is the fabulous Country Music Hall of Fame, a $37 million, state-of-the-art facility that spans an entire city block and features miles of memorabilia. The museum tells the story of one of America’s most endearing art forms through historic video clips, recorded music and dynamic exhibits. While we’re there be sure to visit the museum store where you will find unique gifts and hard-to-find recordings. Enjoy a Songwriter Performance lunch before we depart for Belle Meade Plantation, a Greek Revival historic mansion built in 1853. During our guided tour of the mansion a century of the Plantation’s history is told through the eyes of the Harding-Jackson family and the skilled laborers who collectively worked to make the Plantation America’s premier Thoroughbred Horse Farm. Afterward, enjoy a complimentary wine tasting and self-guided tour of the property, including the massive 1800’s carriage house and stable. This evening enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before we take our seats at the historic Opry House for the Grand Ole Opry Show! (B, L, D) Day 4: Wednesday, December 1 Enjoy breakfast and a leisurely morning before we depart the hotel and head to the airport for our flight home filled with the spirit of the holiday season and cherished memories of a Nashville Country Christmas!
