Having been born in Greece, and having lived there till my early twenties, it is the place that holds all my childhood memories, my first encounters with dance, my friends, and my family. From a very early age I remember how I always used to say that I wanted to study dance and then move to the US to pursue my dream. Back then I was not sure what that dream was, other than leaving Greece, where I often felt like I did not belong. Being here now, in the US, I think I found it and I must admit that when I first begun my pursuit in graduate studies in dance, I was very hesitant to engage in research concerning Greece. -

20 December 2017 PRESS RELEASE Traditional Flavours of Ioannina from DODONI and IEK DELTA 22 to 24 December, in the central square of Ioannina DODONI Dairy Company and the IEK Delta vocational training institute in Ioannina are bidding farewell to 2017 with an event brimming with love, tastings and games. For three days, from 22 December until Christmas Eve, everyone who comes to Ioannina's central square from midday onwards will have the chance to savour authentic traditional recipes from Ioannina, prepared by acclaimed chef Adamos Dotsios and the IEK DELTA Cooking and Pastry School, featuring favourite DODONI products made from 100% Greek milk. In addition to tasting the food, young visitors will be able to demonstrate their talents as junior chefs by making and baking Christmas biscuits and taking part in other activities including Christmas crafts and face painting, offered by the relevant sections of the IEK DELTA Ioannina. This Christmas DODONI will continue to support and contribute to the local community by offering the children of the Dourachani Monastery orphanage a large quantity of pure fresh milk, with the taste of good, love and contribution. It will also donate products to ELEPAP - Rehabilitation For the Disabled - in Athens, Thessaloniki and Ioannina as well as providing financial support to FLOGA - Parents Association of Children with Cancer. It is worth mentioning that in 2017 the company made available over 110 tons of DODONI products to organisations, institutions and NGOs, that care for victims of the Greek crisis, throughout Greece. Millennials are the youngest employees to enter the labour market and they bring along specific characteristics that are likely to shape the workplace. The present article looks into the generation of Millennials and their relationship with the concept of “work” and it tackles questions such as: What kind of personality traits do they bring to the office? What kind of workplace do they seek? What work values do they have? What motivates them? What kind of leaders and what kind of followers do they make? How are they perceived by older managers and co-workers? Keywords: Millennials, Baby Boomers, generational cohorts I. Introduction The age difference between the employees who share the same workplace can impact on the work environment and therefore on the organizational goals quite considerably, given that each generation is bound to bring different work styles, mindsets, and values to the table. Generational theory posits that individuals who are born in a generation or belong to the same generational cohort are likely to develop similar worldviews and hold similar beliefs, given that they have lived in the same social, economic, and historical circumstances which have shaped them in a certain way. -

To: Dr. Ursula von der Leyen President of the European Commission cc: Ms. Věra Jourová Vice-President for Values and Transparency Athens, 16 April 2021 Subject: Ensuring journalists’ safety and physical integrity in the EU Dear President von der Leyen, Dear Vice-President Jourová, We are writing to you in relation to the brutal killing of the Greek journalist George Karaivaz. It is regrettably another despicable act, which follows the assassination of Daphne Caruana Galizia in Malta in 2017 and of Ján Kuciak in Slovakia in 2018. Physical threats and violence against journalists have been, unfortunately, on the rise. These crimes can lead to media’s self-censorship and therefore, have a grave chilling effect on freedom of expression, as enshrined in Article 10 of the European Convention on Human Rights. Press has a vital role to play in the functioning of a democratic society. Journalists’ public watchdog role is crucial for a democratic society, based on the rule of law. Moreover, it has an instrumental role in ensuring an open and vigorous public debate, thereby reinforcing the public’s trust in our democratic processes. In this regard, we need to do away with the sense of impunity for crimes against journalists. Therefore, we call upon you to use all means at your disposal towards guaranteeing the safety and physical integrity of journalists in the EU. This includes a swift adoption of a Recommendation on the safety of journalists, as outlined in the 2020 European Democracy Action Plan. The Recommendation should have a significant focus on threats against women journalists, who are also increasingly subject to online and offline threats. -

Re- searchers agree on some aspects, such as younger individuals being better at absorbing new tech- nologies. However, given that not only those who wanted to but also those who were obliged to switched to teleworking, it appears that younger people may not be as effective at working remotely as previously thought. The relevance of our study is based on the contradictory findings of research conducted during the pandemic. With this article, we contribute to the accumulation of knowledge about the change that takes place in telework. The paper aims to examine the relationship between socio-demographic indicators and the evaluation of telework. Our study confirms that the gender and age of employees are important factors in an employee’s attitude to telecommuting. Mostly, the attitudes vary in terms of gender. At least in the case of Lithuania where the research was conducted, Millennial men, unlike other generations and significantly more than Millennial women, see personal career development problems working remotely. -

OPPORTUNITY AND OWNE RSHIP INITIATIVE Millennials Are the Least Wealthy, but Most Optimistic, Generation Emma Kalish April 2016 Millennials are optimistic about the future, but should they be? Between 1983 and 2010, average net worth per US household increased $250,000; over the same period, that average net worth for adults ages 20–28 increased only $1,700 (Steuerle et al. 2013). Many households today are wealthier than their parents were at the same age; will this pattern continue for today’s younger generations? Some 53 percent of families across generations report that they are better off financially than their parents. Millennials, however, are less likely than both the silent generation (now ages 69 and older) and baby boomers (now ages 50–68) to think they are better off than their parents (figure 1). One explanation for this pattern may be that younger generations are no longer successively wealthier than prior generations. Households headed by people who were 47 or older in 2010 had between 76 and 149 percent more wealth than households headed by people of the same age in 1983. In contrast, households headed by people ages 20–28 had only 5 percent more wealth than households headed by 20- to 28-year-olds in 1983, and households headed by people ages 29–37 had 21 percent less wealth than households headed by 29- to 37-year-olds in 1983 (Steuerle et al. 2013). Of course, the young have many more years to live and, while millennials may have reason to be less optimistic about their futures than prior generations, only 25 percent of them believe they will be worse off than their parents. -
