Through more than one hundred rare objects—including full suits of armor, mounted equestrian figures, helmets, swords, and other weaponry—this exhibition will tell the tale of the European knight from the medieval and Renaissance periods through to the Medieval Revival of the 19th century.

Inspired by such French masters of landscape painting as Corot, Cézanne and Gauguin, Louis Dewis painted scenes of cities, villages and the countryside throughout Belgium and France. His work is now being reevaluated after a trove of paintings were discovered in the attic of a family home in Paris.
