Relevant Events

Joel Molina. Through his Twitter account, AMLO informed that the Senator of MORENA from Tlaxcala, Joel Molina, died from Covid-19.

Elections. The INE declared Mario Delgado winner of the third poll for the presidency of MORENA with 58.6% of the votes. Porfirio Muñoz Ledo informed that he would challenge the results.

SSP. AMLO announced that he proposed Rosa Icela Rodríguez as the new Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection (SSP), who currently is the coordinator of ports and merchant marine and previously was secretary of government of Mexico City.

Congress

Income Law. The Senate approved modifications to the 2021 Income Law and returned the Bill to the Chamber of Deputies to the analysis of the changes. Among them are the reduction in the retention rates of the ISR to digital platforms and the elimination that in the visits of the SAT, inspectors can take photographs and videos.

MORENA. Ignacio Mier Velazco was elected as the new Parliamentary Lead of MORENA in the Chamber of Deputies after Mario Delgado won the election of the presidency of the party.

Health Fund. The Chamber of Deputies approved the reform that will allow the government to dispose of 33 billion pesos from the Health Fund for Welfare. The Bill was sent to the Senate for it analysis.

Federal Government

Outsourcing. AMLO announced that he would send a Bill to Congress to ban outsourcing in Mexico, as it affects the country's development and encourages tax corruption.

Mourning. AMLO will decree 3 days of national mourning - Saturday, Sunday and Monday – and will place wreath in the National Palace dedicated to the 90 thousand victims from Covid-19.

States

Covid-19. Through their Twitter accounts, the head of government of Mexico City, ; the governor of Yucatán, Mauricio Vila; and the governor of Baja California Sur, , announced that they tested positive for Covid-19.
