Cette comparaison est retranscrite, pour une part, dans le tableau situé en annexe. Ce tableau ne peut pas prétendre à l’exhaustivité (hélas !), puisque chaque architecte ne laisse filtrer que ce qu’il veut de son travail, c’est d’ailleurs un sujet que nous aborderons. Dans la Partie 2, les graphiques associés à chaque architecte ont seulement valeur d’illustra- D'AUTEUR tion et ne sont en aucun cas des documents d’étude à part entière. Ces graphiques permettent de visualiser rapidement auquel des mécanismes abordés chaque architecte doit sa célébrité. Les dessins représentant les architectes sont tirés du Domus n°956. Pour cette raison, la valeur du prix est incontestée par les architectes du monde entier. Il retient chaque année l’attention de toute la profession. Même le grand public n’y est pas indifférent. En un peu plus de 30 ans, le prix Pritzker est devenu la partie la plus visible du monde de l’architecture. Les architectes lauréats sont à la tête des agences les plus connues, les plus demandées du monde. Comment gagner le prix Pritzker ? Cette question est donc forcément liée à une réflexion sur le star-system en architecture et plus globalement, dans l’histoire de la culture. NANTES 1979, année de naissance du prix Pritzker, est la date à laquelle l’architecture bascule dans le DE star-system. C’est cette année-là que la Biennale d’architecture de Venise est créée à partir de la Biennale d’art. C’est aussi à ce moment que naissent les prestigieuses revues monographiques El Croquis, dont la première publication paraitra en 1982. C’est en 1979 également que se tient au MoMA l’exposition « Transformations in Modern Architecture ». La pensée postmoderne est alors admise, la mondialisation s’amplifie, le monde tel que nous le connaissons aujourd’hui est en train de naître. Le prix Pritzker et les 37 noms qu’il a récompensés depuis 1979 semblent être un symbole de cette transformation. Aujourd’hui, on dit que la Biennale de Venise « tourne en rond », que la publication d’architecture est à un moment clé. Plus de 30 ans après la mise en D'AUTEUR place des systèmes contemporains, nous avons le recul nécessaire à la critique. À l’heure du bilan, le moment semble idéal pour porter sur l’architecture un regard rétrospectif, au travers du prix Pritzker. D'ARCHITECTURE Comment gagner le prix Pritzker ? C’est à travers cette question provocatrice que nous abor- DROIT derons le domaine de l’architecture de 1979 à nos jours, afin d’en dresser un portrait critique. Très simplement, en analysant les cursus et personnalités des lauréats du prix, il nous sera pos- AU sible de comprendre certains mécanismes de l’architecture, et de déterminer la manière d’accé- der au star-system. Notre analyse ne portera pas sur la production proprement dite des lauréats, si ce n’est en termes statistiques. Il s’agira plutôt d’étudier les parcours, les CV, et les relations des architectes, afin de comprendre comment se diffuse et se vend l’architecture aujourd’hui. « Les stratégies, le marketing et la diffusion de produits culturels sont souvent plus intéressants que les contenus eux-mêmes » écrit avec cynisme Frédéric Martel.1 Ces stratégies seront notre axe SOUMIS d’étude. SUPERIEURE Dans un premier temps, nous nous pencherons sur l’histoire et le fonctionnement du prix. Au travers de ces données propres au Pritzker, nous comprendrons certains jeux d’influence. Il s’agit donc tout d’abord de relever des facteurs internes au fonctionnement du prix, qui peuvent jouer en faveur de l’un ou l’autre des candidats.

Our interaction with digital media is becoming increasingly prevalent in our day-to-day lives and continues to permeate our offices, homes and play spaces. Yet few designs begin to interface with media and the processing or transmittal of information between the user and the surfaces, which define our world. This study proposes to create an outdoor digital landscape, which is part of a larger performance area. This space utilizes digital media to allow speakers, musical groups, and other performers another dimension to express their material. The performance space and digital presentation area should be viewed as an entire experience away from that of reality. The goal of the project is to continue to blur the lines between information and form, and to play with what we conceive of as reality. The project will provide an outlet for digital artists as well as a chance to experiment with form, space and information and our ability as humans to influence process and transmit information between surfaces. Music will be the ignition for this process; extracting bits of data and information from musical pieces and applying that to the design of this space.

En 1997 elle a fondé l'Association INSCRIRE afin de consolider ses projets artistiques participatifs sur les Droits Fondamentaux en Europe et dans le monde. Elle en est la directrice. Elle a enseigné dans les Universités de Coventry, de Wolverhampton en Angleterre, à l'Ecole de la Cambre à Bruxelles et à l'Ecole d'Architecture de Paris-Malaquais. Elle est professeur titulaire à l’Ecole des Arts et Média de Caen : ESAM-c2 en Normandie, en France. This Labor Day weekend tradition begins with a free evening concert featuring Sonny Rollins at Millennium Park’s Jay Pritzker Pavilion on August 28, moves to Grant Park for three full days of free music, August 29-31, and closes with Ornette Coleman (complete schedule below). Rollins, a GRAMMY® Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, officially opens The Chicago Jazz Festival on August 28 at 6:30 p.m. at a new location, the world-renowned Jay Pritzker Pavilion in Millennium Park. Rollins is one of the last of the originals—a running mate of Miles Davis, Clifford Jordan and Max Roach, he was among the inventors of the language of Bebop. Rollins emerged from Chicago in the 1950s with a signature sound that has astounded audiences and inspired countless musicians for more than 50 years. The Chicago Jazz Festival then moves to Grant Park, August 29-31, with three stages of free music, activities and more from 11:00 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. daily. This year’s Artist-in-Residence is Chicago-based composer, arranger, musician and educator, Edward Wilkerson, Jr. Other headliners include Dee Dee Bridgewater, Eddie Palmieri and The Gerald Wilson Orchestra. Jason Ballard, Vice President of Hyatt Hotels Europe, joined John O’Sullivan, Chairman of Hodson Bay Group for the announcement of Hyatt Hotel Corporation’s first Hyatt hotel in Ireland - a 234 bedroom luxury Hotel in Dublin’s Liberties Gate due to open March 2019. Also joining the celebrations at Hodson Bay was a delegation from Chicago (the home of Hyatt Hotels) led by the Toni Preckwinkle, the President of the Cook County Board, Chicago.
