SEPTEMBER 18 SEASON BEGINS PACKAGES WITH WITH PACKAGES TICKETS LOW AS AS WALLIS ANNENBERG CENTER FOR THE PERFORMING ARTS 19/20 SEASON I look forward to seeing you at The Wallis during our 2019/20 Season. This season has many things to celebrate.

We are celebrating the wonderful dance scene that has exploded here in in the last few years. It is a very powerful statement of intent by The Wallis to program exclusively L.A. dance companies. We are proud to recognize and support the remarkable, world-class work these companies are making, which reflects and promotes the cultural mosaic that is Los Angeles.

It is also a first for The Wallis to be producing a piece of dance, The Minghella Project, based on four pieces of work written by Anthony Minghella, performed together for the first time, in collaboration with our 2019/20 Company-In- Residence, BODYTRAFFIC.

Our theater program celebrates Mary Shelley’s novel, Frankenstein, with our very own production, in collaboration with Four Larks, a company that “makes original performance at the intersection of theatre, music, visual art, and dance.” We are also very proud to be producing Sisters in Law with L.A. producing partners Elizabeth Weber, Don Franzen and Dale Franzen (Dale just won the Best Musical Tony Award for Hadestown, so it will bring a real sense of Broadway to Beverly Hills).

Our music program continues to celebrate the range and diversity of music, whether traditional or modern, classical or contemporary, local, national, or international. It is also the 250th anniversary of Beethoven’s birth. A birthday we can’t miss celebrating.

We look forward to launching the season this September in the Bram Goldsmith Theater with Herb Alpert and Lani Hall.

We welcome you ALL to The Wallis. “If you love the arts, The Wallis welcomes you.” –

Paul Crewes, Artistic Director

19/20 SEASON TheWallis.org As the Wallis Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts launches its seventh season (and I launch my fifth!), I want to thank you all for your noteworthy loyalty and unwavering support.

Every time I enter the former Beverly Hills Post Office, our distinctive and beautiful cultural campus, or experience one of our performances or GRoW @ The Wallis education programs, I feel a sense of wonder and awe.

Our journey in the performing arts and arts education over the last few years has been both exciting and tremendously fulfilling: positioning collectively our amazing performing arts center to achieve its full potential and serving our community richly as a vital and critical cultural resource.

It has not always been easy, but no meaningful journey worth pursuing ever is.

You, our passionate audiences, students, donors and community, have fortified us as we’ve moved from our infancy to being a more established, confident and recognized arts center. Our outstanding Board of Directors, our new Wallis Ambassadors and our partner, the City of Beverly Hills, have also added immeasurably in strengthening and boosting our organization. The success of a multifaceted performing arts center can never be attributed to one person or one thing. It’s the efforts, expertise, and energy of many that have contributed to our promising trajectory.

We pride ourselves on being a warm and welcoming gathering place for the open exchange of arts, ideas, and interests. We design our programs with inclusivity, accessibility, and diversity in mind. We invite everyone to join us in experiencing The Wallis and in contributing actively to the incomparable arts ecosystem that is Southern California.

We look forward very much to seeing you in the season ahead. Thank you for being with us!

Rachel Fine, Executive Director & CEO
