FEINSTEIN’S AT THE NIKKO ANNOUNCES FEINSTEIN’S PRESENTS A NEW SERIES SHOWCASING WORLD-CLASS PERFORMERS FROM STAGE AND SCREEN AT LARGER VENUES THROUGHOUT THE BAY AREA

CHEYENNE JACKSON, JAMES MONROE IGLEHART AND MATTHEW MORRISON SCHEDULED TO APPEAR AT WALNUT CREEK’S LESHER CENTER FOR THE ARTS IN EARLY 2017!

SAN FRANCISCO, CA – Today, Feinstein’s at the Nikko announced Feinstein’s Presents, a new series showcasing world-class performers at larger venues throughout the Bay Area. Kicking off the series, Feinstein’s at the Nikko will partner with The Lesher Center for the Arts to present three of the hottest stars of stage and screen – actor, singer and songwriter on Friday, January 20, 2017; Tony Award winner and Bay Area native James Monroe Iglehart on Friday, February 3, 2017; and Tony, Emmy and Golden Globe Award nominee Matthew Morrison on Thursday, March 2, 2017. Additional Feinstein’s Presents artists and venues will be announced at a later date.

All three performances will take place at The Lesher Center for the Arts (1601 Civic Dr., Walnut Creek). Star of stage and screen, Cheyenne Jackson returns to the Bay Area for the first time since 2014 when he performed at Feinstein’s at the Nikko. In 2013, Jackson wowed audiences in his starring role as Tony in the San Francisco Symphony’s staged concert presentation of . Jackson’s Broadway credits Thoroughly Modern Millie, , (), (Drama Desk & Drama League Nominations) , Finian’s Rainbow (Drama Desk Nomination) 8 and The Performers. Off-Broadway, Jackson has been seen in Altar Boyz, The Agony & the Agony and The Heart of the Matter. On television, he has had recurring roles on “,” “,” “,” and most recently, “” alongside . He has released two albums of his own, “I’m Blue, Skies” and “Renaissance,” as well as “The Power of Two” with .

Tony Award winner James Monroe Iglehart is a Hayward native and often performed on Bay Area stages, including TheatreWorks, American and Ray of Light, before making his Broadway debut in The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee. Iglehart then originated the role of Bobby in on Broadway before landing his dream role of Genie in . For his work as the Genie he won both the Tony Award and the for Best Featured Actor in a Musical. He has recurred on 's original series “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” as Coriolanus Burt, the rival of male protagonist Titus Andromedon portrayed by Tituss Burgess. He has also guest starred on Gotham. He recently filmed his feature debut opposite Richard Gere, Peter Dinklage and Juilianna Marguilles in "The Three Christs of Ypsilanti."

Emmy, Tony and Golden Globe nominated star Matthew Morrison is perhaps best known for portraying Teacher on Fox’s hit musical series “Glee,” but it is Morrison’s previous Broadway credits that lead him to the McKinley High School glee club. Morrison made his Broadway debut in Footloose, followed by . He originated the roles of Link Larkin in Hairspray, Fabrizio Nacarelli in The Light in the Piazza (Tony Award nomination) and Lieutenant Cable in the production of South Pacific. Morrison released a self-titled CD in 2011, followed by “Where It All Began” in 2013. Most recently, he created the role of JM Barrie in the new Broadway musical Finding Neverland.
