The pass is valid on 7 consecutive days. The validity of the pass is based on calendar days (midnight to midnight) as opposed to 24-hour periods. The area within which your pass is valid for travel will change when the Hokuriku Shinkansen (between Nagano and Kanazawa) begins service on March 14, 2015.
