Special Traffic and Transport Arrangements for Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011

Notice is hereby given that the following special traffic and transport arrangements will be implemented on the Lunar New Year’s Eve 2011:

I. SPECIAL TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS

HONG KONG ISLAND

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented during the time period specified below on 2 and 3 February 2011. The implementation time may be varied if necessary:

(A) Road closures

(a) The pedestrian scheme will be implemented on the following roads from 12.00 noon on 2 February 2011 to 8.00 am on 3 February 2011

(i) Lockhart Road east of Cannon Street; (ii) East Point Road; (iii) Great George Street west of Paterson Street; (iv) Pak Sha Road; (v) Yun Ping Road between Lan Fong Road and Kai Chiu Road; (vi) Kai Chiu Road; and (vii) Lee Garden Road between Hennessy Road and Pak Sha Road.

(b) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 4.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary

(i) Sugar Street; and (ii) Gloucester Road northbound between Causeway Road and Great George Street.

(c) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 5.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary

(i) Cleveland Street; (ii) Paterson Street; (iii) Kingston Street; (iv) Great George Street between Paterson Street and Gloucester Road; (v) The kerbside lane of Gloucester Road westbound between its service road and Cannon Street; (vi) Jardine’s Bazaar; and

(vii) Electric Road between Yacht Street and Lau Sin Street (except for franchised buses, police vehicles, vehicles of local residents to Park Tower and vehicles bearing label issued by Food and Environment Hygiene Department).

(d) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 7.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary for all vehicles (except for franchised buses, public light buses and trams)

(i) Hennessy Road eastbound between Percival Street and East Point Road; (ii) Yee Wo Street eastbound; (iii) The western kerbside lane of Pennington Street between Irving Street and Yee Wo Street; (iv) Causeway Road westbound between King’s Road and Moreton Terrace; (v) Yee Wo Street westbound; (vi) Hennessy Road westbound between Jardine’s Bazaar and Percival Street; and (vii) Irving Street (except for vehicles to Regal HK Hotel).

(e) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 8.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary

(i) Lockhart Road east of Percival Street; (ii) The kerbside lane of Hennessy Road westbound between Jardine Bazaar and Lee Garden Road; (iii) The kerbside lane of Hennessy Road eastbound and Yee Wo Street eastbound between Lee Garden Road and East Point Road; (iv) Jaffe Road east of Percival Street; (v) Cannon Street; and (vi) Shelter Street.

(f) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 9.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary

(i) The kerbside lane of Causeway Road westbound between King’s Road (near Queen’s College) and Moreton Terrace ; (ii) Gloucester Road southbound between Causeway Road and Victoria Park Road flyover; (iii) Tai Hang Road flyover southbound; (iv) Tai Hang Road flyover northbound towards Central; (v) Victoria Park Road flyover northbound; (vi) Percival Street southbound between Gloucester Road and Hennessy Road; and (vii) Hing Fat Street between Causeway Road and Lau Li Street for all vehicles, except for franchised buses and green minibuses (GMB). If Hing Fat Street is closed due to crowd over-spill, the franchised buses and other vehicles from Tsing Fung Street westbound will be permitted to forward towards Victoria Park Road westbound via its junction with Hing Fat Street. Franchised buses on King’s Road westbound will be diverted via Tsing Fung Street flyover towards Gloucester Road westbound.

(B) Traffic re-routings

(a) From 6.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary, Lau Li Street between Electric Road and Hing Fat Street will be re-routed as one-way westbound and closed to public light buses (PLBs);

(b) The following traffic re-routing will be implemented from 9.00 pm on 2 February 2011 onwards and as necessary:

(i) Percival Street between Jaffe Road and Lockhart Road will be re-routed as one-way northbound;

(ii) Vehicles on Lockhart Road and Jaffe Road eastbound will be prohibited from turning right at its junction with Percival Street;

(iii) Vehicles heading for Tai Hang Road flyover southbound will be diverted to Victoria Park eastbound, Wing Hing Street and King’s Road;

(iv) Vehicles heading for Tai Hang Road flyover northbound to Central will be diverted to Tung Lo Wan Road, Moreton Terrace and Leighton Road; and

(v) Vehicles from Moreton Terrace will be banned from turning right at its junction with Causeway Road eastbound.

(C) Prohibition to learner drivers

Learner drivers will be prohibited from entering the following roads from 4.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 8.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Leighton Road;

(b) Tin Lok Lane;

(c) Caroline Hill Road;

(d) Eastern Hospital Road;

(e) Tai Hang Road north of Lai Tak Tsuen Road;

(f) Tung Lo Wan Road;

(g) Electric Road south of Gordon Road;

(h) Morrison Hill Road north of Queen’s Road East;

(i) Hennessy Road;

(j) Yee Wo Street;

(k) Causeway Road;

(l) King’s Road;

(m) Gloucester Road service road;

(n) Hing Fat Street;

(o) Tin Hau Temple Road westbound west of Cloud View Road; and

(p) Wan Chai Road eastbound.

(D) Suspension of parking spaces

(a) The on-street parking spaces on the following roads will be suspended from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 8.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(i) On all the above closed roads on 2 February 2011 and 3 February 2011;

(ii) Tung Lo Wan Road;

(iii) Lockhart Road between Canal Road and Cannon Street;

(iv) Jaffe Road between Canal Road East and Cannon Street;

(v) Yun Ping Road; and

(vi) Tsing Fung Street.

(b) Victoria Park carpark in Hing Fat Street (except the disabled parking spaces) which has temporarily been suspended from 2.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 10.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(E) Suspension and relocation of bus and GMB termini

From 6.00 pm onwards on 2 February 2011 until further notice, Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange will be suspended. During the above period, the stop for the following bus and GMB routes will be relocated:

(a) Bus routes 914 and 968 will be terminated on Tung Lo Wan Road opposite to Queen’s College; (b) Bus routes E11 and 948 will be terminated on Causeway Road westbound near Queen’s College; (c) Bus route 25 will omit the stopping point in Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange; (d) Bus route 307P (from 6.11pm departure onwards) will be terminated in Ngan Mok Street south of Yacht Street; and (e) HKI GMB route 49M will omit Hing Fat Street, Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange, King’s Road, Ngan Mok Street and Lau Li Street. HKI GMB route 39M will be converted to circular route and omit the stop at Tin Hau Public Transport Interchange.

(F) Temporary bus stops arrangements

(a) Bus stops on Gloucester Road Service Road near Paterson Street will be suspended from 6.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011;

(b) The following bus stops will be suspended or relocated from 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011:

(i) Bus stops on Hennessy Road eastbound outside Sogo Department Store; (ii) Bus stops outside house no. 1 Yee Wo Street eastbound; (iii) Bus stops in Yee Wo Street eastbound near Sugar Street; (iv) Bus stops in Irving Street; (v) Bus stops outside house no. 500 Hennessy Road westbound; (vi) Bus stops outside house no. 42 Yee Wo Street westbound; (vii) Bus stops on Victoria Park Road eastbound outside Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter will be relocated to Wing Hing Street; (viii) Bus stop on Gloucester Road Service Road near Paterson Street; and (ix) Bus stops in Hing Fat Street will be suspended if traffic and pedestrian flow overspill in Hing Fat Street. Bus stops may be relocated to Causeway Road westbound and Moreton Terrace Bus Terminus;

(c) Temporary bus stops on Causeway Road eastbound outside Victoria Park will be remained in operation until 10.00 am on 3 February 2011;

(d) Temporary bus stops on King’s Road eastbound near Ngan Mok Street will be provided from 4.00 pm onwards on 2 February 2011 until 6.00 am on 3 February 2011; and

(e) Temporary bus stops along Causeway Road westbound outside Queen’s College, Tennis Court, and the Hong Kong Central Library will be provided from 8.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 10.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(G) Suspension of tram stops

The following tram stops will be temporarily suspended from 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011:

(a) Causeway Road near Shelter Street (both directions);

(b) Yee Wo Street opposite to Sugar Street and Paterson Street (both directions); and

(c) Causeway Road outside Victoria Park Main Entrance (both directions).

(H) Suspension of GMB termini/stands

The following GMB stands will be suspended from 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011 unless otherwise specified:

(a) The stand for HKI GMB route 4A in Cannon Street will be suspended and a pick-up

point will be temporarily designated on Gloucester Road service road near its junction with Percival Street;

(b) The stand for HKI GMB route 4C in Cannon Street will be suspended and a pick-up point will be temporarily designated on Gloucester Road service road near its junction with Cannon Street;

(c) The stand for HKI GMB routes 5 and 69X on Lockhart Road will be suspended and a pick-up point will be temporarily designated on Gloucester Road service road near its junction with Cannon Street;

(d) The stand for HKI GMB routes 10, 11 and 31 on Jaffe Road east of Percival Street will be suspended and relocated to Jaffe Road eastbound between Canal Road East and Percival Street; and

(e) The stand for HKI GMB route 25 in Paterson Street will be suspended, and the route will be converted into circular service.

(I) Temporary arrangements of public light buses (PLBs)

(a) The PLB stand in Sugar Street and Paterson Street will be suspended from 4.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011; and

(b) From 8.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011, PLB may be banned from entering Causeway Road westbound depending on the situation. The affected public light buses will be temporarily diverted to Tung Lo Wan Road, Moreton Terrace and Leighton Road for Wan Chai and Central area.

(J) Suspension of taxi stands

The taxi stands at the following locations will be suspended from 4.00 pm on 2 February 2011 until further notice:

(a) Paterson Street near Great George Street;

(b) Jaffe Road near Percival Street;

(c) Lockhart Road near Cannon Street;

(d) Lau Li Street;

(e) Ngan Mok Street; and

(f) Electric Road.

(K) Restrictions on access to/exit from carparks and hotels

Vehicles access to all carparks and hotels within the closed roads will be prohibited and vehicles parked in these carparks and hotels will not be permitted to leave until the closed

roads are re-opened.

(L) Central-Mid-levels Escalator

The services of the Central to Mid-Levels Escalator and Walkway System on 2 February 2011 will be extended to 3.00 am on the following day.

KOWLOON

(1) Morse Park area

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 5.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 6.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(A) Traffic arrangements

(a) Road closures

The eastern egress of Ching Tak Street minibus and taxi stand near Wong Tai Sin Government Primary School will be closed. Vehicles will be required to use the western egress and turn left onto Ching Tak Street westbound for leaving. The section of Ching Tak Street between Lung Cheung Road and Tung Tau Tsuen Road may be closed according to traffic condition.

(b) Regulation of traffic

(i) The Police may ban the left-turn movement from Lung Cheung Road westbound onto Ching Tak Street and Fung Mo Street according to traffic condition; and

(ii) The Police will implement no-stopping restriction in the vicinity of Morse Park No. 3 including Ching Tak Street, Tung Tau Tsuen Road, Shatin Pass Road, Fung Mo Street, Wang Tau Hom East Road, Wang Tau Hom South Road and Wang Tau Hom Central Road.

(B) Transport arrangements

(a) Suspension/relocation of bus stops

The bus stop in Fung Mo Street southbound outside Morse Park Indoor Game Hall for KMB routes 1, 7, 11K, 85C and XHT route 113 will be suspended. Temporary bus stop will be provided at Fung Mo Street southbound opposite to Morse Park No. 4 Stand for KMB routes 1, 11K, 85C and XHT route 113. .

(b) Suspension/relocation of GMB stopping points

The en-route stopping point of Kowloon GMB route 33 in Fung Mo Street southbound near Fu Mei Street will be suspended and relocated to Fung Mo Street

southbound opposite to Morse Park No. 4 Stand.

(c) Taxi stand/drop-off point locations

(i) Temporary taxi stand will be provided on Wang Tau Hom East Road southbound opposite to Wang Hau House; (ii) The lay-by in Ching Tak Street outside Lung Hei House will be converted to temporary taxi drop-off point; and (iii) The single lane of the taxi stand at Ching Tak Street outside Lung Hing House will be divided into two lanes, allowing the left lane for boarding and alighting whilst the right lane for alighting passengers only.

Traffic will be very congested and the number of parking spaces is limited in the vicinity. Members of the public should use public transport services as far as possible. MTR passengers are advised to use Lok Fu Station for journeys to/from the Morse Park Lunar New Year’s Fair.

(2) Wong Tai Sin area

The following special traffic arrangements will be implemented from 6.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 pm on 3 February 2011 and thereafter between 7.00 am and 7.00 pm on 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 12, 13, 14 and 17 February 2011 respectively, in order to facilitate traffic and crowd control for Wong Tai Sin Temple during the Lunar New Year:

(A) Road closure

Shatin Pass Road between Lung Cheung Road and Fung Tak Road will temporarily be closed to all vehicular traffic except for GMB services.

(B) Temporary suspension of taxi stand

The taxi stand on the eastern kerbside lane of the above section of Shatin Pass Road section will be suspended. Temporary taxi drop-off point will be provided on Wong Tai Sin Road eastbound opposite Chui Yuen House.

(3) Cheung Sha Wan Playground Fair

(A) Temporary relocation of bus stops

The bus stops on Cheung Sha Wan Road westbound outside Cheung Sha Wan Playground which have temporarily been relocated to a point near its junction with Hing Wah Street from 8.00 am on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(B) Suspension of parking spaces

All metered parking spaces in Hang Cheung Street which have temporarily been suspended at 8.00 am on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(C) No parking or waiting

Vehicles will only be allowed to pick-up/drop-off passengers and loading/unloading goods in Fortune Street, Hang Cheung Street and Fat Tseung Street until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011. Parking or waiting will be strictly prohibited.

(4) Fa Hui Park

(A) Temporary suspension of bus stops

The bus stops at the following locations which have temporarily been suspended from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 6.00 am on 2 February 2011; and from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Boundary Street eastbound outside Fa Hui Park; (b) Boundary Street eastbound outside Police Sports & Recreation Club; (c) Tai Hang Tung Road (both directions) near Tat Chee Avenue; (d) Tat Chee Avenue (both directions) near Osmanthus Road; (e) Embankment Road northbound; (f) House no.191 West; and (g) Knight Street southbound.

(B) Temporary relocation of bus stops

The bus stops at the following location, which have temporarily been relocated from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 6.00 am on 2 February 2011; and from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Bus stops of KMB routes 1, 1A, 12A, 24, 27, 42 and 95 on Prince Edward Road West outside Diocesan Boys’ School will be temporarily relocated eastward to Prince Edward Road West near house nos. 211-215 (except bus routes: 3C, 87D and 281A will be remained); and

(b) Bus stops in Tung Choi Street outside Mong Kok Police Station will be temporarily relocated northward to the section of Tung Choi Street between Playing Field Road and Boundary Street.

(C) Temporary suspension of pick up/drop-off point of GMB

The pick-up/drop-off points of GMB at the following locations which have temporarily been suspended from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 6.00 am on 2 February 2011; and from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Boundary Street eastbound outside Fa Hui Park; (b) Boundary Street eastbound outside Hong Kong Soka Gakkai Institution; (c) Tai Hang Tung Road (both directions) near Tat Chee Avenue; (d) Tat Chee Avenue (both directions) near Osmanthus Road;

(e) Embankment Road northbound; and (f) House No. 191 Prince Edward Road West.

(D) Temporary relocation of GMB stop

The GMB stop in Tung Choi Street outside Mong Kok Police Station which has temporarily been relocated northward to Tung Choi Street between Playing Field Road and Boundary Street from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 6.00 am on 2 February 2011; and from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(E) Temporary PLB pick-up / drop-off point (for Kowloon East PLB service)

The PLB pick-up/drop-off point which has temporarily been set up on Lincoln Road near Cumberland Road from 3.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(F) Temporary taxi stand

A taxi stand which has temporarily been set up on Cumberland Road near its junction with Boundary Street from 3.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(G) Temporary conversion of taxi stand to taxi pick-up / drop-off point

The taxi stand in Fa Yuen Street near Prince Edward Road West (Service Road) which has temporarily been converted to taxi pick-up/drop-off point will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(H) Suspension of parking spaces

The following parking spaces which have temporarily been suspended from 3.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Metered parking spaces no.9607 and no.9608 in Tong Yam Street; (b) All metered and motorcycle parking spaces in the section of Duke Street between Embankment Road and Knight Street; (c) All motorcycle parking spaces in Knight Street near its junction with Duke Street; (d) Metered parking space no.13413 on Belfran Road; and (e) All metered parking spaces on the section of Lincoln Road between Cumberland Road and Waterloo Road.

(I) Temporary traffic arrangements

The following traffic arrangements which has temporarily been implemented from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011will continue until 4.00 am on 2 February 2011; and from 2.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Vehicles on Lincoln Road westbound will not be permitted to turn left into Cumberland Road southbound (except taxis and PLBs); (b) Vehicles on Essex Crescent will not be permitted to turn left into Cumberland Road southbound (except residents); (c) Vehicles on Embankment Road will not be permitted to turn right into Duke Street (except residents); and (d) The section of Dianthus Road east of Tat Chee Avenue will be closed to all vehicular traffic.

(J) Temporary loading/unloading point

A loading/unloading point which has temporarily been provided in Tong Yam Street near Tai Hang Tung Recreation Ground from 3.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(5) area

(A) Road closures

The following roads which have temporarily been closed to all vehicular traffic from 8.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 3.00 am on 2 February 2011, and from 6.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 5.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Hong Ning Road southbound between Chun Wah Road and Shung Yan Street; (b) Wan Hon Street; (c) Wan Hon Lane; (d) Ngan Yuet Lane; (e) Shui Wo Street; (f) Shui Ning Street; (g) Ka Lok Street; (h) Shung Yan Street; (i) Shung Yan Circuit; and (j) Fu Yan Street between Mut Wah Street and Shung Yan Street (except for PLBs).

(B) Temporary arrangements for bus and GMB routes

During the road closures period, bus and GMB routes will have the following arrangements:

(a) Kowloon GMB route 23 will be suspended; (b) Kowloon GMB routes 22M, 36A ( bound) and KMB route 28A (Kwun Tong Ferry bound) will be diverted via Hong Ning Road northbound and Hip Wo Street southbound; (c) New Territories GMB routes 104 and 106 (Ngau Tau Kok/Kowloon Bay bound) will be diverted via Hip Wo Street southbound, Tung Yan Street and Yue Man Square; (d) The stand for Kowloon GMB route 56 in Shung Yan Street will be suspended,

and a pick-up/drop-off point will be temporarily designated in Yan Oi Circuit GMB Terminus. GMB route 56 will be converted into a circular route and will be diverted via Mut Wah Street, Fu Yan Street, Yan Oi Circuit GMB Terminus, Tung Yan Street and Yue Man Square; (e) Bus stop for KMB route 28A will be temporarily designated on Hong Ning Road northbound opposite to Sau Mau Ping Police Station; (f) Bus stop for KMB route 28A on Hong Ning Road southbound and Mut Wah Street will be suspended; (g) GMB stop of the above mentioned GMB routes on Hong Ning Road southbound will be suspended; and (h) The bus and GMB stops on Hong Ning Road northbound will remain unchanged.

(C) Temporary arrangement of taxi stand

During the road closures period, a taxi stand will be temporarily designated in Yuet Wah Street outside Wo Lok Estate.

(D) Suspension of parking spaces and PLB stands

The parking spaces (including those disabled parking facilities), PLB stands and metered parking spaces at the following locations which have temporarily been suspended from 5.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 6.00 am on 2 February 2011, and from 3.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 6.00 am on 3 February 2011:

(a) Ming Chi Street (metered parking space and disabled parking space); (b) Horse Shoe Lane (metered parking space and PLB stand); (c) Wan Hon Street; (d) Wan Hon Lane; (e) Ngan Yuet Lane; (f) Shui Wo Street; (g) Shui Ning Street; (h) Ka Lok Street; (i) Shung Yan Street; (j) Shung Yan Circuit; and (k) Yuet Wah Street (a total number of 15 metered parking space only).

(E) Restrictions on access to/exit from carparks

Vehicles access to all carparks within the closed roads will be prohibited and vehicles parked in these carparks will not be permitted to leave until the closed roads are re-opened.

Motorists heading for Kwun Tong Town Centre will be diverted via Hip Wo Street or Chun Wah Road. As traffic in the affected areas will be very congested, the journey time of public transport services may be lengthened due to traffic condition. Motorists heading for Kwun Tong North (Shun Lee, Shun Tin and Sau Mau Ping

areas), Kwun Tong Industrial Area and Lam Tin are advised to make use of Clear Water Bay Road and Kwun Tong Bypass.

(6) Flower Market Road Area, Mong Kok

(A) Temporary road closures

The following sections of roads which have temporarily been closed from 8.00 am on 29 January 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 Feburary 2011:

(a) Yuen Po Street;

(b) Yuen Ngai Street;

(c) Flower Market Road; and

(d) Prince Edward Road West Service Lane between Sai Yee Street and Embankment Road.

During the above road closures period, vehicles from Prince Edward Road West westbound will be temporarily prohibited from turning right onto Sai Yee Street northbound. Affected vehicles will be diverted via Prince Edward Road West westbound, Tung Choi Street, Playing Field Road/Boundary Street, Fa Yuen Street, Prince Edward Road West Service Lane and Sai Yee Street northbound.

(B) Temporarily road closures at short notice

The following sections of roads which have temporarily been closed before or from 8.00 am on 29 January 2011 will continue until 8.00 am on 3 February 2011, depending on the prevailing traffic situation, crowd condition and the decision of the Police at scene:

(a) Sai Yee Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;

(b) Fa Yuen Street between Prince Edward Road West and Boundary Street;

(c) Playing Field Road between Tung Choi Street and Sai Yee Street; and

(d) Prince Edward Road West Service Lane between and Sai Yee Street.

All vehicles will be prohibited from entry without the permission given by the Police for unloading activities from 12.01 am to 5.00 pm daily on 2 February 2011 and from 12.01 am to 8.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(a) Kai Hong Close;

(b) Kai Chi Close; and

(B) Suspension of motorcycle parking spaces

The motorcycle parking spaces at Kai Hong Close that have temporarily been suspended from 6.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 5.00 am on 2 February 2011 and from 6.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 5.00 am on 3 February 2011.

(C) Suspension of bus stop

The bus stop on Tai Ho Road outside Alexandra Community Centre will be suspended from 4.00 pm onwards and as necessary on 2 February 2011.

(a) Keung Yip Street will be closed to all vehicular traffic until 12.00 noon on 3 February 2011;

(b) The general loading bays off Wang Lee Street near the Yuen Long Industrial Estate Bus Terminus which have temporarily been closed to all vehicular traffic except franchised buses from 5.00 pm on 1 February 2011 will continue until 7.00 am on 3 February 2011;

(c) The section of Hong Yip Street between Wang Yip Street West and Wang Yip Street East will be closed to all vehicular traffic except franchised buses from 5.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011; and

(d) The following roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 5.00 pm on 2 February 2011 to 7.00 am on 3 February 2011:

III. REMOVAL OF ILLEGALLY PARKED VEHICLES

Motorists are advised that strict enforcements will be taken by the Police, including multiple ticketing and towing of vehicles found illegally parked within the precinct of the special traffic

arrangements specified above, without prior notice.

IV. ATTENTION AND APPEAL

Appropriate traffic aids and signs will be provided to guide motorists. Public transport operators will also display notices to advise passengers of the above temporary arrangements. Actual implementation of and adjustments to road closures, traffic control and public transport diversions will be made by the Police at the time depending on conditions in the areas.

Members of the public who intend to go to the affected areas are advised to use public transport services as far as possible, plan their journey early and allow more travelling time to cater for unexpected delay. Members of the public are advised to avoid driving to the affected areas. Motorists should exercise tolerance and patience in cases of traffic congestion, observe the instructions given by the Police; and watch out for the latest traffic news through media.

To boost the turnover rate of on-street parking spaces, motorists are advised to avoid long-term parking at designated parking spaces during Lunar New Year holidays. Moreover, motorists are further advised to pay parking fees for all vehicles parking at metered parking spaces on-street unless the vehicles are parked at designated parking spaces which are not charged on Sundays and public holidays.
