Behlnd the Scenes Photo Insert About the Authors Gcedits covi?r Copwght About the Pubhaher Before picking up this book, you probably already heard of Vivid Entertainment. The leading producer of adult movies,Vivid is known for their high quality productions that appeal to a broad spectrum of viewers, male and female alike. In addition to Vivid videos, most of which are now distributed in DVD format, the company has grown to include a full range of multimedia products. Riding the crest of a convergence between the new technology and society's increasing candor about sex and sexuality, Vivid operates numerous websites that cater to one's personal tastes, and even offers products ranging from herbal male-enhancement pills to realistic replicas of Vivid Girl body parts. Vivid.com is the primary source of information about Vivid, the Girls, and other products, whileVividdvd.com is the place to visit for the latest DVD releases. The cornerstone of the company, however, is the movies. The production values are great. Remember the old days of adult movies when you saw the cameraman's shadow across the girl's stomach, or the boom mike creeping down into the shot? You won't see any of that in a Vivid film. And the plots go way beyond the old "come on in, pizza boy" ones of yesteryear. You can even brush up on your lit- erary and film history, Looking for a sexy, suspenseful mix of The Postman Always Rings Twice and Double Indemnity? Check out One Way Out. An updated take on the Greek myth of Phaedra and Hippolytus, where the stepmother falls for her stepson? See Good Time Girl. The Most Beaut$nl Girl in the Worldis a Faust-inspired tale in which the de- vil takes the form of the boss's daughter. Other movies in the Vivid c:tnon are tongue-in-cheek spoofs of common literary conceits. Is introduction your mate leading a secret double life? So I Married a Porn Star details one man's realization that his wife's career gives new meaning to the term "layover" when she goes on a business trip. Comedy. Drama. Parody. Suspense. There's a Vivid movie in every genre and one that caters to almost every erotic taste. One key feature of Vivid movies is that they are meant to be en- joyed by women as well as men. In a modern-day version of the old Hollywood star system, the Vivid Girls are under contract, and work exclusively in Vivid movies. The movies do not exploit women (in fact, it's the women in these movies who often call the shots), they are not violent, and they feature only consensual lovemaking, which in- cludes condoms during intercourse, a Vivid policy. Actor Bobby Vi- tale says that Vivid treats all of its performers, men and women, with respect. TheVivid Girls have been called the cr6me de la cr6me of the industry, but beauty is not the only criterion. "The women we have under contract have to really enjoy what they do. That's very impor- tant to us," says Steve Hirsch, the founder and co-chairman of the company What is it that makes a Vivid Girl so, well, vivid? First off, they are attractive. Like the glamorous stars from Hollywood's golden age, they are always turned out beautifully Sure they might walk around the house in a skimpy thong and thigh-highs, but they always do so with flawless makeup and sexy, contemporary hairstyles. Their clothes are sexy, too. Their bodies are slender and toned, but they don't look too skinny. And, perhaps most important of all, the Vivid Girl always gets her man. Once she sets her sights on someone she desires, there's no turning back. The Vivid Girls are hot, sexy and take charge on-screen. Off- screen, they are bit more like you and me, but, by virtue of what they do for a living, are maybe a little hotter, sexier, and adventurous than most of us. On camera, they live out sexual fantasies every day, and that's what makes them uniquely qualified to offer helpful hints and insider advice to the rest of the world. "Watching an adult film can be a learning experience, because it gives you new ways to look at HOW TO BE MGRE LIKE A the things you do in bed," says VIVID GIRL Vivid Girl Jenna Jameson. One of the challenges adult movie directors face is the same one every couple eventually faces: how to keep the action interesting. Whatever your circumstances, you will find a wealth of useful knowledge. We begin with the basics: communication, seduction, setting the scene. Then we move on to specific technical tips, all accompanied by references for further re- search. By the end of the book, you might be ready for more "ad- vanced" techniques, so we offer sections on multiple orgasms, multiple partners, anal sex, and more. She looked really good dancing in that strip club, and she looks even better in his apartment. She feels his stare and caresses her breasts as she smiles back at him. She rises from her bath and begins humming a little song. She keeps her eyes on him as she continues to massage her breasts, thighs, and stomach. She playfully picks up a hairbrush and uses it as a microphone fora moment, then rubs it across her silky skin, too. She comes closer-just to the doorway into the bedroom-and jettisons her hairbrush in favor of a gel toy. From the bed, now fully erect just from watching, he tells her to put the toy inside herself. She moistens it in her mouth, then inserts it into her body, pushing it in and out in long, slow strokes. "You like to watch, don't you?" she asks. She turns around, offering him a different view of her auto- erotic exhibition. He strokes his penis in anticipation of feel- ing her large sensuous lips on him. She crosses the room, takes a sip from her wineglass, and slowly inserts his entire shaft into her mouth. The warm, wet sensation makes him throw back his head in pleasure. He caresses her hair as he whispers, "Yes, that's it, baby, take it all." His penis grows bigger and harder with each motion. As she teasingly licks and kisses the head of his penis, she massages her breast with her other hand and brushes her nipple against his leg.

  • Erotica Menu: Ideas for Alternatives to Traditional
OHSU Program in Vulvar Health Erotica Menu Suggestions for Exploring Intimacy Without Pain Vulvar and vulvovaginal pain affect each woman and her sexuality differently. Some of you have not been able to feel or behave sexually for some time, and you may fear that you have lost your ability to do so. Part of your recovery from your pain is to (re)build your sexual and relationship confidence. We therefore encourage you to consider the kinds of relationship activities and ideas below as part of your treatment for your vulvar symptoms. Vaginal and penetrative intercourse is only one way of being sexual. And, although it is the behavior that most of us consider to be “having sex,” it is often not the most sexually gratifying activity for women. When you have vulvar pain, intercourse can become impossible. Although facing this can be difficult, it can also be an excellent opportunity for women and couples to find out what else they might like to do together that can help them to restore and/or maintain sexual and physical intimacy in their relationship. And for those of you not in relationships, it can be a time to learn a lot about what your own body enjoys and desires. In the spirit of exploration and pleasure enhancement for you and your partner (if you have one), we offer the following “menu.” Some of these activities are genitally/sexually focused, others are not. Please use them as guides and experiments. The list is not exhaustive and we encourage you to use the books, websites and other resources contained in these suggestions in order to further your own sexual research.

This article is an open access publication Abstract The article sets out to show how an holistic approach in matters of sexuality is always more helpful than one-sided approaches. On the issue of internet pornography, the authors suggest that the recent anti-masturbation online movement ‘no fapping’ is based on wrong conclusions from insufficient evidence. We suggest that a holistic approach is called for, with emphasis on the embodied human. Abstinence or what is understood by ‘Platonic love’ is not a solution, according to Plato himself. From a phenomenological perspective, we suggest owning up to our strange bodies and habitualising sexual activity. Keywords Phenomenology Á Pornography Á Internet Á Internet porn Á Platonic love Á Plato Á Levinas Á Merleau-Ponty Á Nancy Á Eros Á Flirtation Á Body Á Corporeality Á Masters and Johnson Á Masters of Sex Á Desire Á Strangeness Á Dialogue At its heart, though, you might say that Masters of Sex—the book and the show—is a postmodernist parable about the limits of science; how modern medicine can never truly understand our deepest, most intimate feelings. Masters’ and Johnson’s study of hormones and electrocardiogram impulses could deepen our understanding of our own skin and corpuscles, but alone it could not touch the soul, the essence of the bond between two people.

INTO THE WILD Written by Sean Penn Based on the book by Jon Krakauer 1 EXT. THE STAMPEDE TRAIL - DAY 1 SUPER: Tuesday, April 28th 1992 WIDE-SHOT: A vast, snow-blanketed wilderness that sits beneath the icy summits of the highest mountain range in North America. This is BIG Alaska. A beat up 4x4 pick-up enters very small into the upper left corner of frame on an unkept, snow-packed road, and comes to a stop. A figure exits the passenger side and moves around the front of the truck. We can just make out the rifle sticking out of his backpack. We HEAR a very distant "Thank You" as the figure walks away from the road and away from the truck, seemingly into nowhere. DRIVER Hey! The figure with backpack and rifle, henceforth BACKPACK, stopping in his tracks, turns around in the direction of the truck. DRIVER (CONT'D) Come here. BACKPACK walks back to the truck. As he approaches the driver's door, we CUT IN TO: TIGHT SHOT over the back-packed shoulder onto the DRIVER. DRIVER (CONT'D) (referring to items we see sitting on dashboard) You left your watch, your comb, your change... We STAY on the DRIVER as BACKPACK speaks: BACKPACK Keep it. DRIVER I don't want your money. And I already have a watch. BACKPACK If you don't take it, I'm gonna throw it away. I don't want to know what time it is, what day it is, or where I am. (MORE) 2. BACKPACK (CONT'D) I don't want to see anybody.

University of Nevada, Reno Sense and Sexuality From Teen to Teen Mom: Redefining the Label A thesis submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Master of Art in English By Katie Smith Dr. Susan Palwick/Thesis Advisor August, 2011 THE GRADUATE SCHOOL We recommend that the thesis prepared under our supervision by KATIE LOUISE SMITH entitled Sense And Sexuality From Teen To Teen Mom: Redefining The Label be accepted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of MASTER OF ARTS Susan Palwick, Ph.D., Advisor Ann Keniston, Ph.D., Committee Member Lisa Black, Ph.D., Graduate School Representative Marsha H. Read, Ph. D., Associate Dean, Graduate School August, 2011 i Abstract After becoming a teen mom my senior year, I worked my way through college while being a mom, wife, student, and worker. Throughout my studies and life experience, I realized that there was a lack of teen parent literature, for or by teen parents, and a lack of teen parents being open about their experiences, good or bad. At that point, I realized that I needed to complete my memoir about teen sexuality and being a teenage mom. The memoir exposes my journey from eighth grade, when I was first exposed to the idea of sex, and concludes with me now, a twenty-six year old wife, parent of two, and college graduate who is working as a teacher and writer. Throughout my memoir I open up about being a teenager in love and how my mature emotions transform into having to make mature decisions.

©Copyright 2012 Hsiao-wen Cheng Traveling Stories and Untold Desires: Female Sexuality in Song China, 10th-13th Centuries Hsiao-wen Cheng A dissertation submitted in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy University of Washington 2012 Reading Committee: Patricia B. Ebrey, Chair R. Kent Guy Tani E. Barlow Program Authorized to Offer Degree: History University of Washington Abstract Traveling Stories and Untold Desires: Female Sexuality in Song China, 10th-13th Centuries Hsiao-wen Cheng Chair of the Supervisory Committee: Professor Patricia B. Ebrey History This dissertation examines the historicity of female sexuality during the Song dynasty (960-1279), a time period when print technology, popular culture, and commercial activities had begun to boom yet prior to the emergence of a market for women’s writings. It is both an intellectual history—to trace the changing and conflicting conceptualizations of female sexuality in both elite and popular discourses, and a social history—to look for the possible space and resources for women to negotiate autonomy over their sexual bodies and explore their desires. This dissertation proposes an approach—both academically and politically useful—to study the history of women, gender, and sexuality in premodern China in search of women’s agency and possibilities of transgression using only extant sources written by elite men. That is, I treat my sources as multivocal and inspirational in order to emphasize the contradictory nature of intellectual discourses and social norms on the one hand, and popular appropriations of “traveling stories” and “circulating knowledge” on the other. I seek to examine the historical process of the formation of norms concerning female sexuality during this critical period in Chinese history, the nuances of “queerness” and transgressivenss in my source materials, and the ways that Song Dynasty culture and women’s behaviors and practices related to their sexual bodies mutually defined each other.

EME 12 (1+2) pp. 7–26 Intellect Limited 2013 Explorations in Media Ecology Volume 12 Numbers 1 & 2 © 2013 Intellect Ltd Article. English language. doi: 10.1386/eme.12.1-2.7_1 Brett Lunceford Independent Scholar Telepresence and the ethics of digital cheating Abstract Keywords This article considers the ethics of sexual telepresence by tracing the history of mechan- cybersex ical and digital sex and exploring the possibilities facilitated by current and emerging digital telepresence technology. My aim is to consider how people have used technology to engage in new ethics forms of sexual expression in order to more clearly delineate exactly what consti- infidelity tutes cheating and the ethical lines surrounding such behaviours. As with non-digital intimacy forms of intimacy, it seems clear that there is a range of behaviours that invite differ- sexuality ent people to draw the lines in different places, ranging from flirtation to erotic talk, to physical contact. But the goal of this article is not merely to consider where the lines may lie, but rather to examine how the medium in which the interaction takes place invites individuals to make particular moral judgments concerning what lines should exist at all concerning both physical and emotional intimacy. Humans have likely been using tools to achieve sexual pleasure for as long as humans have used tools. Aside from some religious imperatives against masturbation, such actions are seemingly well within the realm of the ethical, especially in regard to whether such actions constitute cheating on one’s lover. However, the tools that we have crafted for sexual purposes have, like all tools, evolved considerably from the crude dildos and, of course, hands of times past.
