DIRECCIÓN GENERAL DE BIBLIOTECAS, ARCHIVOS Y MUSEOS SUBDIRECCIÓN GENERAL DE BIBLIOTECAS, ARCHIVOS Y MUSEOS SERVICIO DE BIBLIOTECAS PÚBLICAS Página: 1 de 86 PLIEGO DE PRESCRIPCIONES TÉCNICAS DEL CONTRATO “SUMINISTRO DE MATERIAL AUDIOVISUAL Y MULTIMEDIA CON DESTINO A LAS BIBLIOTECAS DEL AYUNTAMIENTO DE MADRID” A ADJUDICAR POR PROCEDIMIENTO ABIERTO Expediente 300/2014/00397 1.- OBJETO DEL CONTRATO Adquisición de material audiovisual y multimedia (Blue-Ray, DVD, CD Audio y Código de verificación : PY3d3284c50e6008 DVD Audio) para la creación, actualización y mantenimiento de fondos de las bibliotecas municipales, según relación de títulos y número de ejemplares para cada título recogida en los Anexos I y II al presente Pliego de Prescripciones Técnicas La empresa que resulte adjudicataria suministrará el número de ejemplares de cada disco (Blue-Ray, DVD, CD Audio y DVD Audio) recogidos en el Anexo I y II con el descuento que haya presentado en su oferta. En caso de baja de adjudicación (de conformidad con el apartado 1 del Anexo I y II del Pliego de Cláusulas Administrativas Particulares) se deberá incrementar el número de unidades a suministrar de entre las relacionadas en el Anexo I y II del Presente Pliego de Prescripciones Técnicas. 2.- DURACION DEL CONTRATO La fecha prevista de inicio del contrato es el 1 de septiembre de 2014. Created by Terrence Winter (Emmy® Award-winning writer of The Sopranos) and directed and produced by Martin Scorsese (Academy Award® winning director), this one-hour drama series chronicles the life and times of Enoch “Nucky” Thompson (Emmy® nominee and Golden Globe® winner Steve Buscemi), Atlantic City’s undisputed czar at a time when Prohibition proved to be a major catalyst in the rise of organized crime in America. Season 4 picks up eight months after the end of Season 3, in February 1924 – the year jazz “really came into being,” with fictional dancers/singers as well as the ubiquitous Charleston dance. Having barely survived an overthrow by Gyp Rossetti in Season 3, Nucky Thompson is laying low at the end of the Boardwalk as the season begins. Eventually he’ll butt heads with Mayor Bader, battle with his brother Eli about the fate of Eli’s college-bound son Willie, and set his sights on the lucrative drug and real-estate opportunities in Florida. Most of the drama in this season’s twelve episodes will take place in Atlantic City, and musical showpieces will be set in the Onyx Club (modeled after the Cotton Club), to be run by Chalky White. THE CIRCUITRY OF MEMORY: TIME AND SPACE IN MAD MEN by Molly Elizabeth Lewis B.A., Honours, The University of British Columbia, 2013 A THESIS SUBMITTED IN PARTIAL FULFILLMENT OF THE REQUIREMENTS FOR THE DEGREE OF MASTER OF ARTS in THE FACULTY OF GRADUATE AND POSTDOCTORAL STUDIES (Film Studies) THE UNIVERSITY OF BRITISH COLUMBIA (Vancouver) August 2015 © Molly Elizabeth Lewis, 2015 Abstract Memory is central to Mad Men (Matthew Weiner 2007-15) as a period piece set in the 1960s that activates the memories of its viewers while also depicting the subjective memory processes of its protagonist Donald Draper (Jon Hamm). Narratively, as much as Don may try to move forward and forget his past, he ultimately cannot because the memories will always remain. Utilizing the philosophy of Henri Bergson, I reveal that the series effectively renders Bergson’s notion of the coexistence of past and present in sequences that journey into the past without ever leaving the present. Mad Men ushers in a new era of philosophical television that is not just perceived, but also remembered. As a long-form serial narrative that intricately layers past upon present, Mad Men is itself an evolving memory that can be revisited by the viewer who gains new insight upon each viewing. Mad Men is the ideal intersection of Bergson’s philosophy of the mind and memory and Gilles Deleuze’s cinematic philosophy of time. The first chapter simply titled “Time,” examines the series’ first flashback sequence from the episode “Babylon,” in it finding the Deleuzian time- image. The last chapter “Space,” seeks to identify the spatial structure of the series as a whole and how it relates to its slow-burning pace.
