The Pacific NorthWest LNG Project (the Project) is proposed to be located primarily on federal lands and waters administered by the Prince Rupert Port Authority approximately 15 kilometres south of Prince Rupert, British Columbia. At full production, the facility would receive approximately 3.2 billion standard cubic feet per day, or 9.1 x 107 cubic metres per day, of pipeline grade natural gas, and produce up to 20.5 million tonnes per annum of LNG for over 30 years. The Project would include the construction and operation of a marine terminal for loading LNG on to vessels for export to Pacific Rim markets in Asia. -

Literature on this topic in recent years can be found in this thesis. This research is based on wave data in three coastal bays at the southern coast of Vancouver Island opening to Juan de Fuca Strait. Preliminary aim is to look for the nature and cause of the observed wave motions of these bays. Time series analysis and numerical modeling are performed to reveal seiche nature and develop a method to predict frequency response of bays with arbitrary shapes and variable depths. The method is evaluated through its application in the three coastal bays. -

Included are a listing of all spawning streams known as of 1984-85, estimates of the annual number of spawners observed in the streams, and data on the annual production of juvenile chinook and coho salmon at all hatcheries. Streams with natural spawning populations of chinook salmon range from Mapsorak Creek, 18 miles south of Cape Thompson, Alaska, southward to the San Joaquin River of California's Central Valley. The total number of spawners is estimated at 1,258,135. Streams with coho salmon range from the Kukpuk River, 12 miles northeast of the village of Point Hope, Alaska, southward to the San Lorenzo River in the Monterey Ray region of California.
