complete way of life for all humanity. • It is the religion of submission to one God, the religion of peace, mercy, and forgiveness. • It is the universal religion that calls for “ONE PEOPLE UNDER ONE GOD.” • Islam means submission to one God and it also means ‘peace.’ • The word Muslim means the one who has submitted him/herself to God and lives with peace. ﷺ Prophet Muhammad was the son of Abdullah and Amina and was born in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in (ﷺ) Prophet Muhammad .chose him to be the last prophet, the seal of prophets and prophecy, at the age of 40 ﷻCE. Allah 570 He died in Madina(Saudi Arabia) at the age of 63. He communicated the message of Islam to humanity. He was known as Amin(trustworthy), Sadiq(truthful) from his childhood. He was humble and sincere, loving and caring, forgiving and showing mercy to all. Companions of the Prophet Muhammad Companions of the Prophet or aṣ-ṣaḥābah were the disciples and followers of Muhammad who "saw or met the prophet during his lifetime and were physically in his presence" The first 4 caliphs, who are the aṣḥāb held in highest esteem among Muslims, are part of a group of 10 Companions to whom Muhammad promised paradise. Those 10 companions are called ‘Ashra Mubashara’. The muhājirūn (those who followed the Prophet from Mecca to Medina in the Hijrah), the anṣār (the Medinese believers), and the badriyyūn (those who fought at the Battle of Badr) are all considered Companions of the Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) Quran through the Angel Gabriel to Prophet ﷻQur’an is the record of exact words revealed by Allah It was revealed piece by piece over about 23 years, then memorized and written down . ﷺMuhammad by the early followers of Islam. This makes Qur’an, the unique and miraculous text preserved as it was revealed in the textual history of world religions. The Quran amazingly contained information 1400 years ago that only today are we finding out about scientifically. There are 114 surahs (chapters) in Quran. The most important Surah is Surah Fatiha which is also called Umm-ul-Quran (The mother of Quran). Surah Fatiha is mandatory to be recite in every rakah of Salah (prayers) Prophets in Islam: There are 25 prophets mentioned in the Qur'an. All prophets preached the same message. The name of the prophets are: (آدم) Adam .1 (Enoch) (إدريس) Idris .2 (Noah) (نوح) Nuh .3 (Methuselah) (صالح) Saleh .4 (Eber) (هود) Hud .5 (Abraham)(إبراهيم) Ibrahim .6 (Lot) (لوط) Lut .7 (Ishmael) ( إسماعيل) Ismail .8 (Isaac) (إسحاق) Ishaq .9 (Jacob) ( يعقوب) Ya'qub .10 (Joseph) (يوسف) Yusuf .11 (Job) (أيوب) Ayub .12 (Jethro) (شعيب) Shu'aib .13 (Moses)(موىس) Musa .14 (Aaron) (هارون) Harun .15 (Ezekiel) (ذو الكفل) Dul-Kifl .16 (David) (داود) Dawud .17 (Solomon)(سليمان) Suleyman .18 (Elijah) (إلياس) Ilyas .19 (Elisha) (اليسع) Al-Yasa .20 (Jonah)( يونس) Yunus .21 (Zechariah)( زكريا) Zakaria .22 (John the Baptist) (يح ي ) Yahya .23 (Jesus) (عيىس) Isa .24 (محمد) Muhammad .25 Biographic of Prohpets: Prophet Adam (A.S.) Prophet Adam was the first human being and first Prophet of Allah. He and his wife ‘Eve’ once lived in heaven but Satan misled them and then Allah sent them to the Earth. We are all descendants of Prophet Adam (AS) and Eve Prophet Noah (Nuh) (AS) The people of Noah had deteriorated to the point where they were worshiping statues they called gods. They gave these statues names Wadd, Suwa, Yaghuth, Yauq and Nasr. This lead to Prophet Noah (AS) trying to get his people to return to worshipping God alone. The people refused to give up their idols. Prophet Noah preached his people nearly 900 years but only a handful of people believed him. Allah (SWT) then decided to punish the non believers and ordered Propet Nuh to prepare a big ship. On the day of punishment, Allah ordered prophet Nuh to onboard on the ship with the believers and a pair of each animal. Allah then sent a huge flood which drowned all the non believers including Prophet Nuh’s wife and his son. Prophet Abraham (Ibrahim) (.KHALILULLAH’, which means ‘the friend of Allah’. Ibrahim (A.S ’ خليل هللا ‘ Ibrahim, was given the title was the forefather of many great Prophets. Ibrahim (A.S.) is a prophet who is tested by Allah and despite severe trials and challenges, Ibrahim (A.S.) was shown as a servant who kept his promise

MENU Policy Analysis / Articles & Op-Eds The Vocabulary of Sectarianism by Aaron Y. Zelin, Phillip Smyth Jan 29, 2014 ABOUT THE AUTHORS Aaron Y. Zelin Aaron Y. Zelin is the Richard Borow Fellow at the Washington Institute for Near East Policy where his research focuses on Sunni Arab jihadi groups in North Africa and Syria as well as the trend of foreign fighting and online jihadism. Phillip Smyth Phillip Smyth was a Soref Fellow at The Washington Institute from 2018-2021. Articles & Testimony Many players in Syria are pursuing a long-term sectarian dehumanization strategy because they view the war as an existential religious struggle between Sunnis and Shiites, indicating that peace conferences are unlikely to resolve the conflict. s the conflict in Syria continues to spread throughout the Levant and adopt a broader sectarian tone -- Sunni A Salafis on one side and Iranian-backed, ideologically influenced Shiite Islamists on the other -- it is important to know how the main actors have cast one another. Unlike the rhetoric during the Iraq War (2003), sectarian language on both sides is regularly finding its way into common discourse. Fighting between Sunnis and Shiites has picked back up in Iraq, is slowly escalating in Lebanon, and there have been incidents in Australia, Azerbaijan, Britain, and Egypt. The utilization of these words in militant and clerical lingo reflects a broader and far more portentous shift: A developing sectarian war and strategy of dehumanization. This is not simply a representation of petty tribal hatreds or a simple reflection on Syria's war, but a grander regional and religious issue.

European Scientific Journal September 2016 edition vol.12, No.26 ISSN: 1857 – 7881 (Print) e - ISSN 1857- 7431 Between Secularist and Jihadist Bodes, Egypt and Sudan in Crossroads Mahgoub El-Tigani Mahmoud Tennessee State University doi: 10.19044/esj.2016.v12n26p21 URL:http://dx.doi.org/10.19044/esj.2016.v12n26p21 Abstract The societal conflicts between Secularist groups and Jihadist militants on the role religious orientations played in the state democratization, social justice, human rights, and population development posited national exigencies un-decisively met by governments of the African and Arab regions. Part one of our research theorized three typologies shaping the challenges of similar conflicts in the Arab-African states of Egypt and Sudan. The typologies symbolized a Sufi culture perpetuating Muslims’ humanitarian relations; Secularist thought excluding the politics of faith; and Jihadist reactionaries manipulating symbolic representation of religion in the striving for power domains. Lacking in serenity the Sufi culture maintained for ages by popular prevalence, the Jihadist reactionaries sponsored a theocratic militancy that generated instability by excessive violence. Entrenched in non-democratic authoritative systems, the state failed in both countries to end peacefully the deepened tensions of the ongoing contradictions. Preserving the popular culture and supporting democratic governance, the Sufi/Secularist groups would probably continue to resist the theocratic dogma that evidently penetrated the region. Part two of

  • The Prolongation of Life in Early Modern English Literature and Culture, with Emphasis on Francis Bacon
THE PROLONGATION OF LIFE IN EARLY MODERN ENGLISH LITERATURE AND CULTURE, WITH EMPHASIS ON FRANCIS BACON ROGER MARCUS JACKSON A dissertation submitted to the faculty of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in partial fulfillment of the requirements for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Department of English and Comparative Literature. Chapel Hill 2010 Approved by: Dr. Reid Barbour Dr. Mary Floyd-Wilson Dr. Darryl Gless Dr. James O‘Hara Dr. Jessica Wolfe ©2010 Roger Marcus Jackson ALL RIGHTS RESERVED ii ABSTRACT ROGER MARCUS JACKSON: The Prolongation of Life in Early Modern English Literature and Culture (Under the direction of Reid Barbour) Drawing upon early modern texts of poetry, theology, and natural philosophy written in England and the continent, this dissertation explores the intellectual traditions inherent in Renaissance discourses addressing the prolongation of life. It is organized around two nodal questions: Can life be prolonged? Should it be prolonged? The project hinges upon Francis Bacon (1561-1626), for whom the prolongation of life in the sense of a longer human lifespan serves as the loftiest goal of modern experimental science. Addressing the first question, Part One illustrates the texture and diversity of early modern theories of senescence and medical treatments against the ―disease‖ of old age promoted by Galen, Avicenna, medieval theologians, Jean Fernel, Marsilio Ficino, and Paracelsus. Part Two then demonstrates that Bacon‘s theory of senescence and corresponding therapies nevertheless differ from those of his predecessors and contemporaries in three regards: their attempt to isolate senescence from disease, their postulation of senescence as a process based on universal structures and actions of matter, and their deferral to further experiment for elucidation.

Fanaticism towards Personalities – A Gateway to Shirk Fanaticism towards Personalities – A Gateway to Shirk ﺑﺴﻢ اﻟﻠﻪ اﻟﺮﺣﻤﻦ اﻟﺮﺣﻴﻢ As-Salaamu alaykum To my family in faith, may Allah grant you an unbridled desire to strive for his cause, a successful outcome to all your endeavors, & the unfathomable reward prepared for his most righteous servants. Social hierarchy among mankind is a well-known establishment instituted by the infinite wisdom & justice of Allah. He legislated that some of his servants will outrank others in knowledge, wealth, physical prowess, & spirituality. Allah says: “These are the Messengers, We have made some more excellent that others”. He also says: “The men are maintainers & providers of women”. He also says: “The most noble of you with Allah is the most pious”. These alpha males/ females become role models for the remaining population & are admired, emulated, & sought after for guidance, which is an inherent trait of man, yet extremely dangerous as adoration can effortlessly mutate into fanaticism, a gateway to shirk.
