INFORMACIÓN GENERAL Código del proyecto: 724-B4-707 Título del proyecto: Aplicaciones de código abierto como apoyo para el desarrollo de estrategias didácticas en la docencia universitaria. Unidad base del investigador: Escuela de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información. Programa al que pertenece: Programa de Investigación sobre Tecnologías de la Información y Comunicación (TIC) en los Procesos Educativos: Alfabetización Informacional, Digital, Multimedia (ALFIN), Virtualización y Mentorización en Entornos Inmersivos. Investigador principal: Esteban González Pérez. Vigencia del proyecto: 06/01/2014 al 04/01/2016. Período de ampliación: Al 31 de marzo de 2016. Fecha de presentación: 31 de marzo de 2016. RESUMEN: Este proyecto de investigación estudia los posibles usos de aplicaciones de código abierto para apoyar al docente universitario en las actividades que realiza con su estudiantado a partir de estrategias didácticas constructivistas. Dentro de las actividades más importantes realizadas se encuentran: la realización de un repositorio digital e impreso con la descripción de aplicaciones de código abierto que pueden utilizarse en la educación y se describen algunas estrategias didácticas y su vinculación con estas tecnologías. Dentro de los resultados relevantes también se contabilizan una serie de capacitaciones a docentes y estudiantes de diversas unidades académicas de la Facultad de Educación con el fin de sensibilizar hacia el uso del software libre y sus potencialidades en el apoyo a la investigación y a la actividad académica. 4 Descriptores: DIDACTICA UNIVERSITARIA; APLICACIONES DE CODIGO ABIERTO; CONSTRUCTIVISMO; SOFTWARE LIBRE; DOCENTES. II. ANTECEDENTES 1.1 Introducción Los docentes universitarios tienen la responsabilidad de formar al estudiantado de manera integral, tanto desde la teoría como de la práctica, en sus respectivas áreas del conocimiento; esta labor se complementa con el uso de estrategias didácticas cuyos objetivos, teorías, actividades de aprendizaje y de evaluación buscan la construcción de nuevos aprendizajes útiles para resolver los distintos problemas que demanda la sociedad a cada disciplina del conocimiento. En estas actividades de mediación entre el estudiantado y el contenido a aprender se utilizan diversos apoyos tanto textuales como multimediales y aplicaciones de computadora que permiten la interacción con estos objetos y la creación de evidencias que sustentan la actividad cognoscitiva del estudiantado. De esta manera, el estudiantado bajo la orientación del docente se introducen en el uso de aplicaciones de software que permiten, entre muchas otras cosas, la realización de documentos, archivos multimediales, cálculos matemáticos y estadísticos, simulaciones de laboratorio o de situaciones reales según el contexto de aprendizaje, mapas del conocimiento, bases de datos, revisiones de literatura, etc. y así desarrollan las habilidades, actitudes y destrezas tecnológicas que son útiles en la labor profesional. Las tecnologías de la información y de la comunicación (en adelante TIC) en la actualidad son un recurso indispensable para el desarrollo de las naciones, se encuentran representadas en una serie de tecnologías principalmente móviles y brindan acceso a la información traspasando las barreras del espacio y del tiempo, dando a las personas la posibilidad de mantenerse 5 actualizadas en cuanto a los cambios e innovaciones que surgen en el mundo y en sus campos de desempeño. A partir de estar inquietudes y de la experiencia docente del investigador en la Escuela de Bibliotecología y Ciencias de la Información de la Universidad de Costa Rica es que surge esta necesidad por aportar orientaciones para el uso de estrategias didácticas distintas a la tradicional lección magistral, que motiven la integración del estudiantado y sus conocimientos dentro de la dinámica de enseñanza-aprendizaje y permitan, con el uso de software libre, apoyar diversos momentos en que se desarrolla una clase o una actividad extraclase y la presentación de resultados por medio de un documento, un vídeo, un afiche, un mapa conceptual, un blog, entre otras posibilidades. Este proyecto de investigación brinda orientaciones para la evaluación de aplicaciones de código abierto, aporta una revisión exhaustiva de aquellas consideradas de mayor provecho para la educación, aporta guías sobre estrategias didácticas y su posible integración con algunas aplicaciones informáticas. Esto último, tiene un antecedente en un trabajo final de investigación de la Maestría en Bibliotecología y Estudios de la Información en la que el investigador realizó un importante acercamiento a estos temas.     El uso de las TIC como paliativo de las dificultades del aprendizaje en las ciencias sociales Juan Luis Fernández-Quero [email protected] Universidad de Granada Resumen La investigación facilita y selecciona herramientas y recursos digitales TIC que se puedan aplicar para paliar las dificultades de aprendizaje en las ciencias sociales, especialmente en geografía e historia, apostando por una incentivación de las competencias digitales y tecnológicas en docentes y alumnos. De tal modo, que sirva como una consulta de referencia para la autogestión, con una recomendación específica para los pupilos. Para ello es necesario conocer al menos las principales dificultades de aprendizaje involucradas obteniendo una definición propia del concepto. Después de la revisión pertinente, se lleva a cabo una selección por criterios objetivos y por último la praxis de aquellas herramientas y recursos que obtienen las puntuaciones más altas en la discriminación final. Se atiende de una forma específica a las que están siendo promovidas por las administraciones públicas así como por las universidades, contribuyendo a su difusión. Entre otras cuestiones, se tiene en cuenta el prestigio universal, la adaptación al fin al que se requiere o los productos generados. Es evidente que el trabajo realizado posee una gran utilidad de cara a los contextos forzosos de no presencialidad, como es el caso de la pandemia generada por la COVID-19.
