95156400.Pdf AUDI AG, cunoscut simplu ca Audi, este un producator de automobile german, cu sediul in Ingolstadt, Bavaria, Germania.Capitalul societatii Audi este detinut aproape in totalitate (99,7%) de Grupul Volkswagen (Volkswagen AG) inca din 1994 (cand numele societatii comerciale era Volkswagen Audi Group, abreviat VAG; AG este totodata echivalentul german al abrevierii romanesti S.A.). Compania a evoluat prin preluarea de catre Grupul Volkswagen a firmelor Auto Union si NSU Motorenwerke AG (NSU), cea din urma avand incorporata compania istorica Audi, fondata in 1910. Sloganul oficial al Audi este Vorsprung durch Technik ("avans prin tehnologie"). Sloganul este folosit si in alte tari din Europa, incl. Regatul Unit, si pe alte piete, ca America Latina, Oceania si tari din Asia, incl. Japonia. Sloganul din America de Nord este "Inovation through technology" ("inovatie prin tehnologie"), cu exceptia Canadei, unde in publicitate este folosit sloganul german. Compania isi are originile inca din anul 1899, de la August Horch. Primul automobile Horch a fost produs in 1901, la Zwickau. In 1909, Horch a fost dat afara din compania infiintata de el insusi. Horch a pornit o noua afacere in Zwickau si a continuat sa foloseasca marca Horch. Fostii parteneri l au dat in judecata pentru incalcarea drepturilor de autor, iar un tribunal german a decis ca marca Horch apartinea fostei sale companii. August Horch a fost fortat sa inceteze folosirea propriului sau nume de familie in noua sa firma constructoare de autovehicule. Horch a convocat o sedinta pentru a gasi un nou nume pentru companie. In timpul sedintei, fiul gazdei, Franz Fikentscher, studia in liniste limba latina, intr un colt al camerei. Afirmatia ca AUDI ar fi abrevierea denumirii "Auto Union Deutschland Ingolstadt" nu corespunde adevarului. Audi a inceput cu un motor cu patru cilindri, de 2.612 cc (2.6 l), urmat de un model de 3.564 cc (3.6 l), precum si un motor de 4.680 cc (4.7 l) si unul de 5.720 cc (5.7 l). Aceste masini au avut succes chiar si la evenimentele sportive. August Horch a parasit compania Audi in 1920. Primul model cu sase cilindri, 4.655 cc (4.7 l) a aparut in (...). In 1928, compania a fost cumparata de danezul Jurgen Rasmussen, prorietarul firmei constructoare de automobile si motociclete DKW. Sigla era insa folosita doar la automobilele de curse fabricte de Auto Union, pentru restul productiei fiecare din celelalte trei companii folosind in continuare propria sigla si propriul nume. Dezvoltarea tehnica s a intensificat si unele modele de Audi erau echipate cu motoare Horch si Wanderer. La sfarsitul anilor 30 si din 1940, Horch/Auto Union a construit doua tipuri ("seria A" si "seria B") ale TAB ului Sd Kfz 222 pentru dotarea armatei germane. Era propulsat de un motor Horch/Auto Union V8 de 81 cp (60 kW), avand o viteza maxima de 50 de mile pe ora. Un alt vehicul folosit in razboiul mondial pentru a escorta in siguranta oficialitatile militare germane a fost Sd.Kfz 11" ("Horch type 80"), construit de firmele Auto Union (Wanderer), Adler si Hansa Lloyd Goliath (Borgward). Armata il folosea ca vehicul usor de transport. Sigla cu patru cercuri Sigla Audi consta in patru cercuri suprapuse, care reprezinta cele patru marci membre ale Auto Union. Sigla simbolizeaza contopirea Audi cu DKW, Horch si Wanderer: primul cerc reprezinta Audi, al doilea reprezinta DKW, al treilea este Horch, iar ultimul, Wanderer. Fabricile Auto Union au fost grav afectate de bombardamentele executate in timpul razboiului mondial de aviatia Aliatilor. Dupa razboi, Zwickau s a aflat in zona ocupata de sovietici. Auto Union AG s a despartit. Fabrica Audi s a transformat in intreprinderea nationalizata VEB Automobilwerk Zwickau (AWZ) (VEB: volkseigener Betrieb "intreprindere proprietate a poporului"). O noua companie Auto Union a fost inaugurata in orasul bavarez Ingolstadt, care se afla in zona de ocupatie americana. Numerosi angajati ai fabricilor devastate din Zwickau au plecat la Ingolstadt si au reinceput productia de autovehicole sub marca DKW. Aceste masini erau echipate cu motoare in doi timpi. Erau bazate pe tehnica interbelica si erau construite similar si in Zwickau. In 1958, Daimler Benz a cumparat 87% din actiunile companiei Auto Union, iar in anul urmator detinea 100%. In 1964, Volkswagen a cumparat fabrica din Ingolstadt si marcile Auto Union. Epoca motoarelor in doi timpi s a sfarsit in anii 60. Clientii preferau confortabilele motoare in patru timpi. In septembrie 1965, ultimul model DKW, DKW F102, avea un motor in patru timpi si unele modificari in fata si in spate. Volkswagen a "aruncat la gunoi" marca DKW din cauza mirosului sau de motor in doi timpi, "relansand" marca Audi. Modelul era numit oficial F103, dar era vandut simplu ca Audi (numele fiind al modelului, nu al producatorului, care era inca oficial Auto Union), dar mai tarziu era stiut ca Audi 72. Modelele erau denumite dupa numarul de cai putere si vandute ca Audi 60, 75, 80, si Super 90. Aceste modele au fost vandute pana in 1972. In 1969, Auto Union s a unit cu NSU, situat in Neckarsulm, langa Stuttgart. In anii 50, NSU era cel mai mare producator de motociclete din lume, dar a trecut la productia de automobile mici, de exemplu NSU Prinz (versiunile TT si TTS sunt inca populare ca masini de curse de colectie). NSU s a concentrat apoi pe noile motoare rotative, "motoare Wankel", dezvoltate dupa conceptia lui Felix Wankel. In 1967, noul NSU Ro 80 era o masina a erei spatiale, cu mult inaintea vremii sale in privinta unor detalii tehnice ca aerodinamica, scaderea greutatii si siguranta, dar problemele motoarelor rotative au pus capat independentei NSU. Astazi, fabrica de la Neckarsulm este folosita pentru a produce modelele mai mari, Audi R8 si gama RS. Automobilul de dimensiuni medii la care lucra NSU, K70, urma sa fie o combinatie intre Prinz, cu tractiune in spate, si modelul futuristic NSU Ro 80. Totusi, Volkswagen a luat modelul K70 pentru propria sa gama, terminand existenta NSU ca marca separata. Era moderna a Audi Noua companie fuzionata era cunoscuta ca Audi NSU Auto Union AG si a vazut aparitia Audi ca o marca separata pentru prima oara de inainte de razboi. Imaginea Audi la acel moment era una conservatoare. Ca atare, a fost acceptata propunerea inginerului constructor de sasiuri Jörg Bensinger de a fi dezvoltata tractiunii integrale pe vehiculul militar de teren (jeep) Volkswagen Iltis ("Dihorul") pentru un Audi performant, de raliu. Automobilul cu asemenea calitati, Audi Quattro, un coupé turbo, a fost prezentat in 1980. Audi Quattro a fost primulo automobil german de productie la scara larga cu tractiune integrala permanenta prin intermediul unui diferential central. Frecvent mentionat ca Ur Quattro ("Quattro original" sau "primar" sau "stra Quattro"). Asemenea vehicule au fost fabricate in numar mic (toate construite manual de o singura echipa), dar a fost un model de mare succes in raliuri. Marile victorii au dovedit fiabilitatea masinilor de curse cu tractiune integrala, iar Audi a inceput sa fie asociat cu mari inovatii in domeniul automobilistic. In 1985, odata cu disparitia de pe piata a marcilor Auto Union si NSU, numele oficial al companiei a fost modifict din nou: Audi AG (Audi Aktiengesellschaft "Audi Societate pe Actiuni"). In 1986, pe masura ce modelul bazat pe Passat, Audi 80, incepea sa capete o imagine de "masina a bunicului", a fost lansat modelul Audi 89, cu o vandabilitate buna. Totusi, dinamica si exteriorul moderne erau trase in jos de motorul slab performant, iar pachetul de optionale era destul de "spartanic". In 1987, Audi a pus la inaintare un model nou si foarte elegant, Audi 90, cu insusiri standard superioare. La inceputul anilor 90, vanzarile au inceput sa scada si au inceput sa apara unele probleme fundamentale de productie. Scaderile in vanzari nu au fost rezolvate de Statele Unite, din cauza unui reportaj TV de 60 de minute, care sustinea ca autoturismele Audi sufereau de "acceleratie neintentionata". (La masinile de curse, cand se schimba treapta de viteza intr una inferioara, in timpul franarii, acceleratia trebuie folosita pentru a potrivi turatiile motorului, incat ambele pedale trebuie sa fie cat mai apropiate una de alta, pentru a putea fi controlate simultan de piciorul drept, cu degetele pe frana si calcaiul pe acceleratie; tehnica aceasta se numeste "degete calcai").
