Good day, Nunavummiut! February was short, but it was also busy! I Key Dates was grateful to have the opportunity to spend some time at home in Kugluktuk and visit Cambridge Bay for their trade show. Official Meeting

On February 9, I had the honour of meeting with Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and the next day with Mary Simon, the Special Representative on Arctic Issues to the Minister of Indigenous and Northern Affairs, while they visited Iqaluit.

I pressed the importance of consulting with Nunavummiut on northern decisions as we move forward on an Arctic leadership model and an Arctic policy framework. Kugluktuk Opening Events I spent Valentine’s Day in Kugluktuk this year to celebrate the opening of three upgraded community buildings.

I want to thank those involved in helping to move these projects forward; they help build stronger communities!
