Total 135 milk samples from 45 women were collected from nine different divisions of Karachi, Pakistan. In addition ten milk samples were also collected from normal subjects. The milk samples were taken at day 1, day 15 and day 30 from the same women and from the same divisions. The data indicated that only cypermethrin, deltamethrin, malathion and match were identified. The highest concentration 34.86 g/10 l of deltamethrin and the lowest concentration 0.336 g/10 l of cypermethrin was found in the milk sample. It may be concluded that exposed women showed significant increased and decreased enzyme levels at different division and also complained about the disturbance in the normal functioning of different organ system and possibly produced various ailments and clinically suffered with skin diseases, backache, disturbance in micturition, difficulty in breathing, asthma and hepatitis. The aim of this paper is to present the ndings of this qualitative study to better understand community perceptions and experiences regarding access to iron-rich food and use of gutka. Method A simple exploratory design using focus group discussions with nonpregnant MWRA and community health workers as well as thorough interviews with different shopkeepers were performed at Rehri Goth, a coastal slum at Karachi, Pakistan. Further, observational visits were also conducted to perform a market survey and to explore the situation regarding the availability of iron-rich food items in the community.

The proposed project is basically transformation of existing berth 3 & 4 of Port Qasim into one of the most advanced and specialized coal handlings/transshipment berths. The annual ship unloading capacity after development of the proposed project is expected to meet about (2000t/h x 16h x315 D = 1008x 104t/year) considering one ship on berth with following specifications: Ship type: 30000t self-unloading ship Working days per year 315 Working shift 3 shift per day, 8h/shift, (One shift for maintenance). NEED OF THE PROJECT The energy concerns of the country are now assuming serious and terrible proportions possessing to the fact that the country has been distressed by energy crisis for about half a decade thus a major bottleneck in economic development and progress.
