Eric Bogosian is an actor, playwright, and novelist of Armenian descent. He was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for his play , and is the recipient of the Berlin International Film Festival’s Silver Bear award, as well as three Obie Awards and the . In addition to his celebrated work in the theater and onscreen, he has authored three novels. This spring Operation Nemesis: The Assassination Plot that Avenged the Armenian Genocide was published by Little, Brown. He is married to director and lives in . Eric Nazarian is a screenwriter, filmmaker, and photojournalist. In 2007, he wrote and directed “The Blue Hour,” a first feature film that won six international awards. In 2008, he received the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences® (home of the Oscars) prestigious Nicholl Fellowship in Screenwriting for his original screenplay, Giants. His film “Bolis” was the recipient of the Best Short Film Award at the 14th ARPA International Film Festival in 2011. Aline Ohanesian was a 2012 finalist for the PEN Bellwether Award for Socially Engaged Fiction and The Glimmer Train Award for New Writers. Her first novel, The Exile, was published in 2014. She writes because humanity -- its meaning-making machines, and its stories -- fascinate her. Her literary talent earned her Hamazkayin's Minas and Kohar Toloyan Prize in Contemporary Literature for 2015. Scout Tufankjian is a photojournalist based in Brooklyn, N.Y. Her work has been featured in Newsweek, US News & World Report, Le Monde, Newsday, and . Her best-seller book featuring a selection of photographs from President Barack Obama’s election campaign was entitled Yes We Can: Barack Obama’s History-Making Presidential Campaign in December 2008. It sold out its initial 55,000 copy run a month before it was released. Tufankjian’s famous photo of Michelle Obama and President Barack Obama hugging each other, released in November 2012, became the most-liked photo on Facebook and most retweeted Tweet in history. Khatchig Mouradian is the Program Director for ArtLinks. He is the coordinator of the Armenian Genocide Program at the Center for the Study of Genocide and Human Rights at Rutgers University, where he also teaches in the history and sociology departments.

Objective: Hamazkayin ArtLinks 2015 brings together accomplished artists and aspiring youth, in a retreat-like forum, facilitating the sharing of experiences and insights in a dual social and educational setting. The program aims at fostering and cultivating interest in art and culture and encouraging young Armenian artists and art supporters in North America to follow their passion. Up to 30 participants aged 21 and up will be joined by professionals and experts in various fields, who will share their insights and experiences through interactive sessions.

Participants: Participants must be between 21 and 30 years of age and interested in learning about the arts. The workshops are open to Armenians from Canada and the USA. International participants are welcome to apply as well. The participation fee is $150 USD and includes all workshops, three nights of lodging, and meals.

Lodging: The lodging is at Your Own Inn, Jewett, New York.

Social activity: During Hamazkayin ArtLinks 2015, there will be plenty of room for social activity.
