Graduated and specialized in Classical Archaeology at the University of Catania, she has taken part in numerous excavations in Italy and abroad, also working in different archaeological sites in Sicily including Solunto, Syracuse, Centuripe, Catania, Mountain March, Vassallaggi. Particularly significant is her experience in Morgantina, site to which she has devoted most of her research activities and publications. Collaborating with the Superintendence for Cultural and Environmental Heritage of Enna under the direction of Catherine Greek, in 2004 she managed the most recent and very productive archaeological surveys conducted in the sanctuary of St. Francis Bisconti, place of illicit origin of acroliti and the head of Hades, perhaps even the statue of the goddess. She served on the Board of the Regional Archaeological Museum of Aidone, recently also involved in a project of cataloging the exhibits. As a trusted collaborator of the Superintendence of Enna, for several years she provides advice to public and private entities in the context of preventive archeology activities. She also collaborates with schools of all levels for cultural projects to enhance and promote the Sicilian archaeological heritage.
