In their first international start together last June in Paris, Turner and Wacholder captured third- place for their only FIVB podium placement. Prior to this week’s placement, the Paris finish was Turner best-ever SWATCH finish. Wacholder gathered two gold medals with Kerri Walsh by winning international events in Marseille and Austria in 2004. Overall, Wacholder has now earned eight FIVB medals with 12 “final four” finishes with Walsh, Elaine Youngs and Turner. She currently ranks 39th on the all-time SWATCH earnings list with $214,060 in 43 career starts. Turner is competing in her 20th SWATCH stop with $64,700 in FIVB earnings. On the American domestic tour, Turner and Wacholder have compiled a 64-37 match mark for one- plus seasons together with five seconds in 20 events. The pair is 13-9 this season for five events. Shelda is competing in her 130th FIVB event as 120 stops were with Adriana Behar as the pair posted 587-140 match mark to net a record $2,207,965 in earnings with 31 gold medals, 85 podium placements and 96 “final four” finishes for 13 SWATCH seasons together. Shelda and Adriana won the 1999 and 2001 SWATCH-FIVB World Championships, and placed third in 1997 and second in 2003. Shelda and Adriana captured the silver medals at the Sydney 2000 and Athens 2004 Olympic Games. A fifth-place finisher at the Athens 2004 Olympic Games with Sandra Pires, Ana Paula has been competing international since 1999 and the GE Money Bank Mazury Open is her 92nd SWATCH event. She missed the 2001 season due to child birth. Ana Paula has won eigh SWATCH stops with Sandra Pires (5), Monica Rodrigues (1), Shaylyn Bede (1) and Leila Barros (1). While Shelda is No. 2 in all- time SWATCH earnings ($1,184,033), Ana Paula is 11th ($530,578). Shelda has a 621-155 match mark since starting her career in 1995 while Ana Paula is 383-153.
