CSR HEALTH CAMPS AT PS-6, , PS-3, , PS-4, SEKONI & PS-5, March 2019

After the successful completion of 2 nos of CSR-Health Camps in PS-8 Sonapur & PS-7, Madarihat in West Bengal, Pipeline Sphere continued its CSR campaign on hygiene and good health of the school students in locality where the Pump Stations are based in . Together with school health, the camps also dealt with the general health issues of the local people who had come to attend the health camps.

st The 1 CSR-Health camp in Assam was organised in Pump Station-6 at Bongaigaon. General Manager- Operations, Shri Sandip graced the occasion along with PS-6 Incharge, Shri Bipul Deka, DGM-Pipeline Mech, PS-6, Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, DGM- MS and Dr. Angshuman Chaudhury, DCMO, PL. This camp was organised in the Dolaigaon Uzanpara Primary School, Uzanpara, Bongaigaon.

PS-6, BONGAIGAON

nd th The 2 CSR -Health Camp was organised on 19 March, 2019 at Pump Station- 3 in Jorhat. The camp was organised in the nearby Bahona Boys High School. The school though remotely located has a record of producing meritorious students. The program was attended by DGM-PL-Mech , Shri S Mutsuddi, DGM-Ops, PS-3 & Shri NJ Buragohain, DGM (T), PS-3 along with Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, DGM-MS, PL, Smt. Krishna Rao, CM-PR, PL and Dr. Angshuman Chaudhury, DCMO, PL. In this camp besides looking into the general health conditions of the students and nearby local people, eye check-up was done with the help of doctors from Chandraprabha Eye Hospital.

PS-3, JORHAT

rd th The 3 CSR-Health Camp was organised on 25 March, 2019 at PS-4, Sekoni. This Pump Station itself is in a remote location sharing its boundary with the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, the . The CSR-Health Camp was organised in Sekoni- Borholla Uccha Madhyamik Bidyalay, Post Office- Jakhalabandha, Assam. Shri Pankaj Laskar, DGM-PS4 coordinated the event in the presence of Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, DGM-MS, Smt. Krishna Hazarika Rao, CM-PR & Dr. Angshuman Chaudhury, DCMO.

PS-4,SEKONI

th The 4 CSR-Health Camp in Pump Station- 5/ Pipeline Headquarters was organised in Lenga Kuruwa Adarsha High School in Paschim Kuruwa adjacent to and near the OIL Skill Development Institute. Though the school is very near to a bustling city of Guwahati, it lacks the basic infrastructure facilities and is in a poor condition where students attend school primarily for the midday meals. The area is affected by the perennial floods and is facing erosion. Here the event was conducted by Smt. Krishna Hazarika Rao, CM-PR along with Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, DGM-MS, Dr. Angshuman Chaudhury, DCMO and Shri Jadav , President, OGEU, Pipeline Sphere. PS-5, NARENGI

Around 2500 children and their families were benefitted through these four (04) Health Camps organised in March itself which not only targeted the school health of the students but also the hygiene issues and catered to the general medical issues of the local people on that day. OPD facilities were extended to the local people of the area. These initiatives were also another ‘firsts’ in these schools and was very much appreciated. In all these camps, Hygiene kits were also distributed among the school children and all the students were made aware through interactive sessions in Health, Safety and Fitness. This is for the first time that such an extensive CSR –Health Camp initiative is undertaken in the Pipeline Sphere

Buoyed by the success of these camps across Assam, Pipeline Sphere has planned to organise these awareness health programs every year along the pipeline operational areas across three states of West Bengal, Assam and for the greater benefit of the public and the school children. This year, 2018-19, it was primarily for the school health. This will be conducted under CSR project of Pipeline Sphere, Oil Limited. One day before the CSR camp, a health talk was also given by Dr. Dipankar Bhattacharya, DGM-MS, PLS to the internal stakeholders that is the employees and their families in the Pump Stations, i.e. PS-3, Ps-4 & PS-6.
