The National Fairs (National Food Fair and National Trade Fair) are annual and recurring events organized by the Bureau of Domestic Trade Promotion (BDTP) in cooperation with the DTI Regional and Provincial Offices to provide opportunities for MSMEs to sell their products to major retailers, institutional buyers and consumers in . These fairs serve as harvesting ground for Go Lokal suppliers and potential exporters. The BDTP also conducts the National Arts and Crafts Fair subject to availability of excess funds from its regular budget or from Congressional support funds.

The program also provides opportunities for MSMEs to increase their ability to compete in the domestic market while gradually entering the global market. Bagsakan Furniture Showcase In partnership with the Chamber of (December 1, 2020 – February 28, 2021) Furniture Industries (CFIP), the Philippine Homestyle and Holiday Décor Association (PhilHHDA) and the Ayala Malls Fairview Terraces, the Bagsakan Special Project continues to showcase the best of Philippine furniture, home furnishings and home decor in a special exhibit at the 3rd Floor of the Ayala Malls, Fairview Terraces. On dislay are hard-to-find home furnishings that are exquisitely carved and transformed from yakal, molave, narra, kamagong, gmelina, mahogany, recycled wood, steel, fabrics, glass, indigenous materials and more.

Bagsakan @ DTI Head Office Parking Area The bureau has also mounted two Bagsakan selling events at the DTI Head Office, Parking Area in Makati City.

Bagsakan @ Eastwood City Central Plaza The BDTP, in coordination with the DTI Regional Offices and in partnership with Megaworld Lifestyle Malls, hosted the Bagsakan at the Central Plaza, Eastwood Mall, Quezon City from February 25-28, 2021 which featured 21 MSMEs from Bataan, Bulacan, Laguna, NCR, Guimaras, and Zamboanga City selling fruits, veggies, snacks, native delicacies, wearables, handicrafts, home essentials and organic and health and wellness products

In line with the DTI’s Buy Local, Go Lokal! campaign, the Bagsakan event also aims to impart among shoppers to prioritize the purchase of locally made products to support Filipino entrepreneurs and the domestic economy. The BDTP’s National Trade Fair Pop-Up Store and Go Lokal! Shopee Mall showcased Filipino MSMEs and their products during the #TatakPinoy Virtual Fair on the ecommerce platform Shopee PH mobile app and website.

The event connected thousands of consumers and showcased the products of 122 MSMEs comprised of national trade fair entrepreneurs, Go Lokal! suppliers, MSMEs of Kalakal CALABARZON and Treasure of Region 12, as well as DTI sellers with the USAID’s Women Entrepreneurship Program (WEP).

On sale were : Products with Local Ingredients, Beauty Picks and Local Fashion Favorites. The sales generated during the event is currently being coordinated with Shopee PH. National Trade Fair (NTF) Digital Mall
