Google Pay Downloads Surpassed Cash App in December Monthly U.S. downloads of top digital payment apps

Digital payment apps saw a significant boost in Cash App Google Pay PayPal Venmo Zelle adoption at the beginning of the pandemic. 4M Although growth slowed down mid-year, COVID-19 Outbreak downloads remained above their pre-pandemic level. Google Pay took advantage of its re-brand and YouTube MoPub Apple Search Ads transition to a new app in the U.S. with a big 20% advertising push on top networks in Q4 2020.
