TORI SPELLING Biography

Tori Spelling is a versatile actress whose career spans theater, television and film. Next, Tori is host and executive producer of the new TLC competition series Craft Wars, which premieres this summer.

Spelling and husband Dean McDermott star in Oxygen’s hit series "Tori & Dean: Home Sweet Hollywood." Spelling and McDermott created the show and serve as executive producers alongside Fenton Bailey and Randy Barbato of World of Wonder Productions.

Spelling and McDermott also star in and produce the Oxygen series, “Tori and Dean: sTORIbook Weddings.” The series follows Tori and Dean as they set out to give couples a once in a experience.

Spelling recently launched her new online magazine and community ediTORIal by Tori Spelling (www.ToriSpelling.com). On the site the mother of three (soon to be four) shares her tips and tricks on being a successful working mother and learning how to juggle life, love, style and family.

In February 2011, Spelling and McDermott opened their retail store InvenTORI (www.inventori.com), in the Sherman Oaks area of . The store features many of Tori’s precious antiques, and lifestyle elements such as home, kitchen, bath, garden, children, and pet products.

Spelling is also an accomplished author. She released her first children’s book Presenting … Tallulah in September 2010. Taking cues from her own childhood, this book tells the sweet tale of a young girl who really just wants to be herself. Spelling and illustrator Vanessa Brantley Newton bring to life the story of a spunky little girl who, with the help of some special friends, is able to discover exactly who she is.

Spelling’s first memoir sTORI Telling was published in March 2008 and debuted at #3 on Best Seller List and in September 2008, sTORI Telling moved to #1 on the list. The memoir is based on her truly unique life and provides an irreverent look at her family and childhood, marriages, motherhood, and all that stems from a private life made public.

Spelling’s second memoir, Mommywood also debuted on the New York Times Best Seller List and focuses on her life as a mother. In June 2010, Spelling published her third memoir, uncharted terriTORI and became a three time New York Times bestselling author. Uncharted terriTORI shares Tori’s unique and very public life and misadventures—complete with growing children, daredevil husband Dean, a tight circle of friends, welcome and invasive cameras, and an infamous mother— with humor and candor.

Spelling’s most recent book, CelebraTORI offers tips and advice for throwing a fabulous (and affordable) party as only Tori Spelling can. Tori shows readers the ins-and-outs of entertaining for all occasions, with her signature wit, charm, and chic style. A beautiful four-color book, CelebraTORI is filled with instructional and inspirational photos, along with tips, advice, and anecdotes.

Simon & Schuster’s Gallery Books imprint will also publish another memoir with Spelling, along the lines of her bestselling books, sTORI Telling, Mommywood, and Uncharted TerriTORI, that will let readers share her unique and very public life, complete with growing kids, daredevil husband, and tight circle of friends. The currently untitled memoir is scheduled for publication in 2013.

In 2009 Spelling reprised her role as in the CW spinoff series 90210 and guest starred on the CW’s hit series “” where she portrayed a gossip columnist. She starred in the comedy series, “” on VH1 and served as an executive producer on the scripted comedy, loosely based on her life. She also starred in the Los Angeles stage production of the highly acclaimed “Maybe Baby, 's You.” In the two-person show, Spelling portrayed eleven different characters.

Spelling received critical praise for her performance in Fine Line's comedy “Trick,” playing an aspiring actress who is constantly coming between her best friend and his potential hunky one-night stand.

Spelling’s additional feature-film credits include: the independent feature “50 Ways to Leave Your Lover;” “Kiss the Bride”, “ 2,” the sequel to the 2000 blockbuster; a cameo in “ 2;” and a starring role in the comedy-drama “The House of Yes,” garnering Spelling kudos for her portrayal of a young college student who meets her fiancé’s dysfunctional family over a stormy Thanksgiving weekend. Spelling also starred as 'Donna Martin' on the series “Beverly Hills, 90210” for 10 seasons.

Spelling is also an accomplished designer with a distinct sense of style. Her clothing line “Little Maven” for infants and toddlers, features fun, young and versatile designs. Her latest jewelry designs from “The Tori Spelling Collection” are available exclusively on HSN. The collection includes necklaces, earrings, cuffs, and bracelets. She also recently launched her own line of craft products also available at HSN.

Next, she’s combining her love of crafting and jewelry and launching a DIY fashion jewelry line, Styled by Tori Spelling in Summer 2012.

Spelling works with numerous charities, including Much Love Animal Rescue, a no-kill shelter dedicated to finding rescued animals loving homes in the Los Angeles area.

Spelling has three children (soon to be four) with her husband Dean McDermott, Liam, Stella, and Hattie.
