Tras algunas consideraciones acerca del agriótipo de N. hispanicus Gouan (1773), se propone una especie nueva en la sección Pseudonarcissi De Candolle (1815), serie Palustris Fernández Casas (2010): N. gallæcicus Fernández Casas. Prosigue nuestra serie de notitas, la cual sin mayores pretensiones persigue un mejor conocimiento sistemático del género Narcissus Linnaeus (Amaryllidaceæ); véase el artículo precedente homónimo, que ha aparecido en esta misma revista, F. J. FERNÁNDEZ CASAS (08-i-2013). Dedicamos esta nota a proponer un tratamiento para dos narcisos que hasta ahora habían sido interpretados como agriótipos de Narcissus ‘hispanicus’. Antes de abordar las descripciones, plantearemos un análisis somero sobre la cultivariedad y sus preten- didos agriótipos. LOS AGRIÓTIPOS de los Narcissi Multitud de taxos del género Narcissus han sido descritos de cultivo, lo cual propicia que pudieran definirse como meras cultivariedades muchas –mejor, muchísimas– de las especies propuestas. Y de tal modo se viene aceptando en casos muy numerosos, menos de los necesarios. Por supuesto que algunas estirpes descritas por los clásicos, pese a haber sido culti- vadas y desconocerse silvestres durante largo tiempo, se han identificado posterior- mente sin problemas mayores; tal es el caso de Narcissus cyclamineus De Candolle (1815), sin ir más lejos. Otras “especies” –mejor, cultivariedades– nunca se encontraron gallaeci:Fq56(01).qxd 19/06/2013 0:31 Página 302 302 FONTQUERIA 56(33) 20-vi-2013] en la naturaleza y se acepta por consenso que se trata de meros artificios de cultivo; esas no causan problemas mayores en quienes nos ocupamos de la sistemática de las plantas silvestres. Hay pero un tercer tipo que sí produce muchos quebraderos de cabeza; es el de aquellos narcisos sobre los que hay discrepancia acerca de la identidad o relación con unas determinadas poblaciones silvestres. Son aquellos narcisos cuyo agriótipo creen unos haber encontrado acá y otros acullá, de forma poco compatible por lo que hace a su biología y biogeografía. ¿SE ACEPTAN LAS CULTIVARIEDADES como especies? Sí, claro está que pueden aceptarse, y que se hace en numerosas ocasiones, sin que genere problemas dignos de mención. Pero en ocasiones producen muchos problemas, por ejemplo cuando hay desacuerdo entre diversas interpretaciones, o cuando ninguna convence. Narcissus ‘minor’ Linnaeus (1762) Un ejemplo típico de planta con agriótipo problemático sería Narcissus minor Linnaeus (1762). H. W. PUGSLEY (1933: 43, nº 5), quien según todos los indicios llegó a conocer de cerca el cultivar que sirvió de base a la descripción de Linnaeus, estable- ció que aunque era “enano” se podía relacionar con N. Pseudo-narcissus y no con con hizo una interpretación que no ha sido seguida por muchos autores posteriores, que hacen sus nuevas interpretaciones sobre un cachito de escapo con una flor que se con- serva en el British Museum y que tradicionalmente se interpreta como tipo nomencla- tural de la escpecie. Narcissus ‘hispanicus’ Gouan (1773) Veamos a continuación el caso de Narcissus ‘hispanicus’, un ejemplo disponible y sencillo, clarificador de las dificultades que produce la admisión como especie natural de un mero artificio de cultivo. Narcissus hispanicus es una cosa o es otra, según como se iunterprete o decida qué poblaciones son su agriótipo; así de sencillo. El no tener los nombres fijados por una tipificación que nos pueda conducir a un determinado territorio y habitáculo produce una serie de problemas que no son fáciles de comunicar a quien No he visto que el código nos EL AGRIÓTIPO de Narcissus ‘hispanicus’. ¿Una búsqueda inútil? Detengámonos un momento a reflexionar en el problema que presenta la búsqueda del agriótipo de un cultivar que se describió de un tiesto –mejor, de una “tumba” de las escuelas de un jardín botánico– y, con mucha probabilidad, tras varios siglos de culti- vo, documentado poco y mal, si lo juzgamos con el criterio de nuestras necesidades sis- temáticas –más exacto y más honesto: desconociendo si está bien documentado y suponiendo que no–; tal es el caso de Narcissus ‘hispanicus’ Gouan (1773). Son tantas las vicisitudes que su búsqueda ha generado, que bien pudiere componerse con ellas un tratado épico, para cuyo futurible título propongo: “La búsqueda del profano agrial: labo- riosa, exasperante e inútil”. Cuantos nos hemos ocupado del género, en algún momento hemos querido encontrar en el campo la tal planta, precursora silvestre de la cultivar- iedad ‘hispanicus’, puesto que de éso exactamente se trata, de una cultivariedad. No recuerdo que nadie haya aventurado la hipótesis de que tal agriótipo pudiera no existir, como sucede en el bien conocido caso del trigo, o en el más discutido del maíz. Ni tam- poco se ha lanzado la especie de que, por más que se conozca la procedencia silvestre pudiera ser que nadie acertase a generar de nuevo algo del todo idéntico a lo que se ha cultivado y sirvió de “material original” para la descripción; por no ser ella “pura”, o por cualquier otra razón que ahora mismo no visita mi magín. Por ello tal variedad de cultivo quedaría “colgada” en un limbo ajeno a nuestros afanes taxonómicos, sin lugar en la sistemática de las plantas silvestres, la única que aquí y ahora nos ocupa, por sim- ple decisión personal. gallaeci:Fq56(01).qxd 19/06/2013 0:31 Página 303 F. FERNÁNDEZ CASAS – Narcissorum notulæ, XXXV 303 OPINIONES más o menos serias, y con diferencias poco compatibles La planta de Gouan ha creído ser vista por muchos autores como silvestre en los Pirineos, otros afirman haberla encontrado en la Cordillera Cantábrica, en Galicia, o en las Serranías Béticas. En tanto que mi maestro añorado, el gran especialista Abílio Fernandes –comunicación personal, ¿Hacia 1984?– no reconoce haberla visto silvestre más que en Ferreira do Zêzere, en el Portugal profundo –no muy lejos de Fátima y de Tomar–, B. E. SMYTHIES (1973) nos dice que se cría en la malacitana Sierra de las Nieves. El autor inglés, en su más que probable desacierto –dicho sin intención de reba- jar el mérito notable que reconozco en su obra– ha sido seguido por numerosos autores entre los que he de de contarme, para mi disgusto y arrepentimiento. Heinrich Moritz WILLKOMM (1870: 152, nº 675) señala Narcissus ‘hispanicus’ Gouan (por su sinónimo de N. major Curtis) en Castilla la Vieja (siguiendo a Charles L’Ecluse), Cantabria (Cegama, según Schaufuss), Sierra de Yunquera, y se interroga sobre si crecerá también en los Pirineos.

Current notions of “pollinator decline” and “pollination crisis” mainly arose from stud- ies on pollinators of economic value in anthropogenic ecosystems of mid-latitude temperate regions. Comprehensive long-term pollinator data from biologically diverse, undisturbed communities are needed to evaluate the actual extent of the so-called “global pollination crisis.” This paper analyzes the long-term dynamics of pollinator abundance in undisturbed Mediterranean montane habitats using pollinator visitation data for 65 plant species collected over two decades. Objectives are (1) to elucidate patterns of long-term changes in pollinator abundance from the perspectives of individual plant spe- cies, major pollinator groups, and the whole plant community and (2) to propose a novel methodologi- cal implementation based on combining a planned missing data design with the analytical strength of mixed effects models, which allows one to draw community-wide inferences on long-term pollinator trends in species-rich natural habitats. Probabilistic measurements (“patch visitation probability” and “flower visitation probability” per time unit) were used to assess pollinator functional abundance for each plant species on two separate, randomly chosen years. A total of 13,054 pollinator censuses accounting for a total watching effort of 2,877,039 flower-min were carried out on 299 different dates. Supra-annual unstability in pollinator functional abundance was the rule, with visitation probability to flowering patches and/or individual flowers exhibiting significant heterogeneity between years in the majority of plant species (83%).
