I.-IN'l'RODUC'l'ION. The" Ammonites" proper contained in Mr. H. \V. Blomfield's collection are few in nnmber', and will be noticed in a later part of this Memoir. The following descriptions of the "Crioceri" are offered with a considerable amsmnt of diffidence, and to arrive at these results I found it impemtive to undertake a general review of our Cretaceous forms hitherto associated with the names CTioceras and Ancylocera8; the outcome of this work, extending over many months, is t~ my mind, I regret to say, anything but satisfactory. This arises from two primary causes, the frag mentary state in which the fossils are frequently found, and the difficulty experienced in grouping ~uch portions, from many and "widely separated localities, in well dlefined species. A secondary cause is due to the fact that many of the hitherto described forms are based on portions of shells only, and in two instances at least the descriptions are so inadequate that recognition of the species is practically reduced to gue~s work. In no instance is this more apparent than in that of Cl·iocemB australe, Moore, the Australian type of the group. To render my investigations as complete as possible, I assembled all the specimens of the above two genera within my reach, and drew upon the following collections, as well as onr own :-The Mining and Geological, and Macleay Museums, ~ydney; National Museum, Melbourne; Geological Survey, and Queensland Museums, Brisbane; Geological Survey Collection, Adelaide; and the Sweet Collection, Melbourne. -

The first number after the date is the Southern Oscillation Index (SOI) for that month followed by the three month running mean of the SOI centred on that month. This is followed by information on the equatorial eastern Pacific sea surface temperatures where: W means a warm episode i.e. sea surface temperature (SST) was above normal; C means a cool episode and Av means average SST Date Impact January 1858 From the Sydney Morning Herald 26/2/1866: an article featuring a cruise inside the Barrier Reef describes an expedition’s stay at Green Island near Cairns. “The wind throughout our stay was principally from the south-east, but in January we had two or three hard blows from the N to NW with rain; one gale uprooted some of the trees and wrung the heads off others. The sea also rose one night very high, nearly covering the island, leaving but a small spot of about twenty feet square free of water.” Middle to late Feb A tropical cyclone (TC) brought damaging winds and seas to region between Rockhampton and 1863 Hervey Bay. Houses unroofed in several centres with many trees blown down. Ketch driven onto rocks near Rockhampton. Severe erosion along shores of Hervey Bay with 10 metres lost to sea along a 32 km stretch of the coast. -

Important support was also provided by the Noosa Parks Association, in particular, we thank Brian Walsh who provided his vessel, skippered us safely around the estuary and provided such great company and assistance each day we ventured out in the field. The Walkers provided use of their jetty in Noosa Sound to suspend tiles, which was greatly appreciated. Executive Summary With the support of the Noosa Shire Council and The Thomas Foundation, The Nature Conservancy undertook an assessment of oyster recruitment in the Noosa Estuary. This assessment is a critical piece of information to inform the viability and design or future oyster reef restoration projects in the estuary. This report presents the findings of the assessment, which involved deploying over 160 settlement tiles (10 cm x 10 cm squares made from fibrous cement sheet) for periods of up to 5 months between December 2014 and June 2015. Settlement tiles were deployed at seven intertidal (0.1 m above low water mark) and five subtidal sites (typically 1 m below the surface) around the Noosa River Estuary. Key findings from the analysis of these settlement tiles are: Oysters recruited in moderate numbers at nearly all sites, with the highest observed recruitment occurring in Weyba Creek, the main channel around Tewantin, and in the narrow channel between Goat Island and Noosa North Shore. -

Referral of Proposed Action
Referral of proposed action Project title: Cross River Rail 1 Summary of proposed action 1.1 Short description The Cross River Rail project is a proposed new 10.2 kilometre rail link in Brisbane connecting Dutton Park in the south to Bowen Hills in the north. The project will include 5.9 kilometres of twin rail tunnels (one track in each direction) under Brisbane’s inner city and new underground rail stations at Albert Street and Roma Street (in the Brisbane CBD), Woolloongabba, Boggo Road and a new surface station at the Exhibition showgrounds. Upgrades and enhancements to parts of the existing rail network will be delivered where these interface with the project and to support Cross River Rail operations. READING NOTE: The Cross River Rail project has previously (2010) been referred to the then Department of the Environment, Water, Heritage and Arts under reference number 2010/5427. The project was determined to be ‘not a controlled action - if undertaken in a particular manner’. Further planning and design has been undertaken since the original Cross River Rail concept was referred. This has resulted in a modified project of a smaller scale with reduced potential impacts and enhanced affordability. This referral has been prepared as a new referral based on key changes to the project resulting from further planning and design. The referral has been prepared as a stand-alone document that can be assessed without having to reference the previous referral. While the Cross River Rail proponent does not consider the proposed action likely to have a significant impact on a matter protected under the EPBC Act, this referral has also been prepared in light of the CRR 2010 EPBC decision including a number of particular manner conditions that require reassessment.
