Santee D, First Floor Current market dynamics in the global adhesives and sealants sector have blurred the lines defining our industry. As large multinational corporations seek elusive growth to defend robust stock prices, the attractive margin and growth profile of adhesives and sealants has created a new class of strategic buyer. Industrial conglomerates, building material and construction chemicals companies, and paint & powerhouses have elected to compete with well capitalized chemical-sector focused private equity funds and large adhesives manufacturers in pursuit of qual- ity A&S acquisitions. Vertical integration is also becoming more common, as chemical producers, distributors and converters pursue formulators. These newcomers from complementary industries create additional opportunities for some adhesives providers, as well as risk and uncertainty for others as these recent arrivals gain influence and blur the lines via strategic acquisitions. 2:45 to 3:00 p.m. Day One Wrap-Up Bill Allmond, President, Adhesive and Sealant Council Santee D, First Floor ASC President Bill Allmond will highlight the evening’s activities and alert attendees to programming and activities for Day Two. 3:00 to 5:30 p.m. Attendee Networking “On Your Own” DESTINATIONS DMC, a division of OUTSIDE Brands has mastered the art of creating unique experi- ences for both you and your guest(s).
