In terms of section 2(1) of Act VIII, 2003 anent Vacancy Procedure the following intimation is to be read on Sunday 28 March 2021 at online worship and a duplicate copy displayed on the congregations’ websites for seven days thereafter: at online worship, by placing on the website and social media if used, by email and advertisement. The certificate of execution on this copy should then be signed by the Session Clerk or another Elder or the Preacher and returned immediately to the Presbytery Clerk.

Permission to Call

Presbytery resolved in terms of section 8 of Act VIII 2003 that the congregation of Cowal Kirk be given permission to call a minister subject to the provisions of Act VIII 2003, from 1 April 2021. Presbytery determined that the Nominating Committee for the charge of Cowal Kirk shall consist of 11 persons

This action will proceed unless at least four persons, who are either communicant members of the congregations of Dunoon St John’s, Dunoon The High Kirk, Innellan, Kirn & Sandbank and Toward or full members of Presbytery, together or separately submit to the Presbytery Clerk a request for this proposal to be considered at the next meeting of the Presbytery. Any such request must set out the relevant reasons. You should submit any such request in writing to Mr W Stewart Shaw DL, 59 Barone Road, Rothesay, Isle of Bute, PA20 0DZ
