Deswegen sind sie zu Recht einer der Headliner bei unserem Highfield Festival im kommenden August, nicht umsonst führen sie auch das Line-up beim renommierten Festival in Reading und Leeds an. Da freut es uns doch umso mehr, dass Blink-182 nicht nur einen weiteren Festivalauftritt im Rahmen des Hamburger Kultursommers bestätigt haben, sondern darüber hinaus – wenn man schon in Europa unterwegs ist, will man auch möglichst viele Fans glücklich machen! – noch zwei Shows in Stuttgart und Dortmund spielen werden. Selbst nach mehr als zwei Jahrzehnten Bandgeschichte – das Bandmotto lautet schließlich selbstironisch „Crappy Punk Rock Since 1992“ – fühlt man sich beim Hören egal welches Songs des Trios aus San Diego vollkommen in die gute alte Zeit mit „All The Small Things“ oder „Stay Together For The Kids“ zurückversetzt. Vollkommen weggepustet, entwurzelt und wie nach einer wilden Fahrt im Transrapid wird man vom Blink-182-Sound wieder ausgespuckt – und das glücklich und nach mehr schreiend! In den letzten zwei Jahren haben sie alle Stadien der Welt exzessiv abgegrast und begeben sich nun wieder ins Studio, um am Nachfolger der Digital-EP „Dogs Eating Dogs“ zu basteln. Und natürlich werden Blink-182 die neuen Songs auch live präsentieren, auf dem Highfield, auf dem Hamburg Crash Fest (für das natürlich in Kürze noch weitere Bands bestätigt werden) und in den Hallen. Es ist uns ein Fest mit ihnen und Euch gemeinsam steil zu gehen.

E così, dopo le fortunate esperienze delle esibizioni di Elisa (di scena anche lei in Piazza Duomo) e Ligabue - capace di calamitare ben 30 mila fan al Parco della Lesa -, non si spezza il feeling tra Cividale del Friuli e la grande musica: ancora una volta, a salire sul palco sarà un grande artista internazionale. Un motivo di vanto per il sindaco Stefano Balloch : «Siamo felici che, dopo un evento culturale di grande rilievo come il Mittelfest, la città possa ospitare artisti di questa levatura - sottolinea il primo cittadino -. Sono orgoglioso del fatto che Cividale abbia saputo orientare la scelta degli Skunk Anansie verso questo angolo del Friuli Venezia Giulia. Ritengo interessante, inoltre, che un concerto così importante possa avvicinare i giovani a un contesto diverso da quello “scontato” degli stadi.
