Pyay is a principal town of Pyay Township in the Bago Region in Myanmar. Pyay is located on the Irrawaddy River and is 260 km north-west of Yangon.

DAY 01 – YANGON- -PYAY

Departure to Pyay (5hrs drive), situated 160 km from Yangon. Arrive to Pyay early afternoon. Pyay was the capital of the Pyu kingdom established by King Duttabaung. The word Pyay in Burmese means 'country' and comes from the word 'Pyu'. The city of Pyay was one of the first urban communities in Burma and had a reasonably advanced civilization described in the Chinese chronicles of the time. It is a town located in the extreme west of the region of BAGO. Lunch at the local restaurant. Visit the city Pye including the pagoda "Buddha with glasses", visit the beautiful Shwesandaw Pagoda built on top of a hill in front of a giant statue of Buddha. On the banks of the river Ayeyarwady (Irrawaddy), you can see the sunset. At the hotel, overnight and then dinner.

DAY 02 – PYAY- -AKOUT TAUNG- -PYAY

Breakfast.We have to take a local bus or jeep to visit Akout Taung. After a two hour drive, you will arrive at the river Irrawaddy. Lunch at the local restaurant. You will then embark on a motorized canoe on the Irrawaddy River to discover the Akauktaung Buddhas sculpted in cliffs. The landscape at the top of the mountain is beautiful.Return to the pier in the traditional pirogue. The car will be waiting for you when you arrive. Return to Pyay. At the hotel, overnight and then dinner.

DAY 03 – PYAY- -YANGON

Breakfast. Departure to Yangon.Arrive in Yangon in the early afternoon.
