RESEARCH EXPERIENCE • 2008-2009 National Aquarium of Cuba Behavioral patterns of dolphins in captivity. Monitoring, collection of data. Managing and processing of data-based analysis, interpretation of results and presentation of findings.

• 2010-2011 Marine Turtle Conservation Program. Center for Marine Research Conducted nest surveys during nesting season (April-October), monitoring nesting female green turtles along the Guanahacabibes Peninsula. Took and prepared samples to identify the sex of turtle hatchlings and determine the influence of incubation temperature on sex ratio in sea turtle nests. Collected data for future studies of Fibropapilloma virus. • 2011-2013 Laboratory of Meiofauna, Center for Marine Research Molecular systematics of marine based in the SSU 18S and COI genes. Collection and sorting of nematodes. Mounted temporary microscope preparations. Identified and photo- vouchered all specimens. DNA extraction, data analysis and phylogenetic reconstruction. • Sep, 2013-March, 2016 Center for Marine Research, University of Havana Research Assistant Projects: Genetic connectivity of Desmodora spp. (Nematoda: Desmodoridae). Collection and sorting of meio - and macrofauna. Photo-vouchering, DNA extraction, sequencing and phylogenetic reconstruction. Research and conservation of sharks and rays in Cuba (tagging, sport fishing). Conducted surveys in different fishing ports, collected data about catch composition, fishing gear, fishing times and areas, bait type, targeted species, and . Collected DNA samples and managed database. Teaching Asssistant Zoology of Vertebrates Lab Prepared lab, microscopes, samples and assisted with dissections. EMPLOYMENT/VOLUNTEER EXPRIENCES: • April 3rd, 2017-August 2020 Briarwood Hospital, Inc. Briarwood Equine Associates, a division of Briarwood Animal Hospital, Inc. Practice Manager for the equine services division/ Head Technician. Responsible for patient care and client services. Ordering medical and surgical supplies in compliance with FDA and DEA regulations, regulatory testing of for interstate and international transport, maintenance and ordering for the hospital laboratory. • April, 2016-August 2020 Spotted Eagle Ray Research and Conservation Program, Mote Marine Laboratory Research Volunteer Assist in field work conducted by Kim Bassos-Hull, M.S. senior biologist, involving capture, measurements, genetic samples and release of whitespotted eagle rays (Aetobatus narinari).

• November, 2017-Nov 2018 Miami Seaquarium Veterinary technician volunteer. Assisted veterinarians and technicians with feeding, monitoring and handling of manatees and sea turtles.
