The sample itinerary described below is approximately like the one your group will be following during your stay with WHITE STAR TOURS. However, the exact times, days, and destinations may vary for your group.

Day 1 -Depart for Portland, ME with rest/lunch stops on your own along the way. After check-in at your hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner, which is followed by a relaxing evening. Dinner is included this evening.

Day 2 -Breakfast, then check out and travel to Bangor, ME. Upon arrival at your hotel, check in and freshen up before departing for dinner.

Day 3 - After breakfast, check out and travel for Saint John, the largest city in the province of New Brunswick and the oldest incorporated city in Canada. There you will enjoy lunch and some sightseeing, including a visit to the famous Reversing Falls … a natural phenomenon where the high tides of the Bay of Fundy meet and overpower the St. John River and force it to reverse and flow back upstream. Later, continue to Moncton for dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 4 -Following breakfast, travel to Halifax. En route you will visit Hopewell Rocks where 50-feet tides have carved the world’s largest “flowerpots” out of the cliffs. Nowhere else on earth are the tides as high as in the Bay of Fundy. After lunch on your own along the way, arrive in Halifax to enjoy some sightseeing, including a tour of the Citadel National Historic Site and a visit to the Public Gardens and Fairview Lawn Cemetery, burial place of the victims. This evening you will enjoy a buffet dinner and some gambling at Casino Nova Scotia.

Day 5 -After breakfast, travel to Peggy’s Cove to see this picturesque fishing village. According to legend, Peggys’ Cove was named after the only survivor of a schooner that ran aground and sank in 1800...a woman named Margret. Local folk called her “Peggy” and her home came to be known as Peggy’s Cove. The original lighthouse was built in 1868. Later, head to the delightful town of Annapolis Royal for lunch on your own before boarding the Digby Ferry that will take you to Saint John for a lobster dinner and overnight lodging.

Day 6 - After breakfast, check out and travel back to Maine. A stop will be made at Campobello to visit Franklin D. Roosevelt’s summer home and retreat. Campobello Island, one of the three Fundy Isles, is located in the Bay of Fundy. A special part of the Province of New Brunswick, this Canadian Island lies just off shore of the most eastern town in the United States, Lubec Maine. Campobello is accessed from the mainland by the Roosevelt Campobello International Bridge. Well-to-do families from such cities as New York, Boston, Philadelphia, Ottawa and Montreal escaped to Campobello by private yacht, steamship and train. Upon arrival in Portland, check into your hotel and freshen up for a delicious dinner

Day 7 -Enjoy breakfast, then check out and prepare for your departure home.
