Then, travel along the Evangeline Trail to Grand Pre National Historical Site where the Memorial Church stands as a memorial to the Acadians and houses an exhibit on the deportation of these people. This story has been immortalized in Henry Wadsworth Longfellow's epic poem, Evangeline, for which stands a statue in the middle of this 20-acre garden. Upon arrival in Halifax, visit the Fairview Lawn Cemetery, burial place of the victims. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a delicious dinner, followed by a restful evening.

Day 4 - This morning you will depart for the picturesque village of Peggy's Cove where you will enjoy breakfast. Huge granite boulders are scattered throughout this quaint fishing village which makes this destination a well-known place for artists, photographers, and tourists. Peggy's Cove Light is an old lighthouse standing on a massive granite ledge and serves as Canada's only post office located in a lighthouse. In the afternoon you will enjoy a city tour of Halifax which will include the Citadel National Historic Site. This fort was completed in 1856 and stands as a reminder of Halifax's role as a key naval station in the British Empire. After your visit, depart for the Halifax Public Gardens, the oldest and finest formal Victorian garden in North America. This 17-acre garden began as a private garden in 1753 and was developed into its present layout in 1875. This evening enjoy another delicious dinner in Halifax.

Day 5 - Enjoy breakfast, then check out and head towards Cape Breton Island for a two-night stay. Upon arrival in the area, you wil visit the Alexander Graham Bell Museum which overlooks the Bras d'Or Lake. Tonight you will enjoy dinner at a popular restaurant in the area.

Day 6 - After breakfast, you will explore one of nature's magnificent regions, the stunning Cabot Trail, which was named for famous explorer John Cabot. The Trail winds around the rocky splendor of Cape Breton's northern shore, ascending to the incredible plateaus of Cape Breton Highlands National Park. The highway is carved into the sides of mountains that rise high above the shimmering waters of the Gulf of St. Lawrence. Lookouts offer unforgettable vistas of the rugged coastline where pods of whales can often be seen just offshore and bald eagles soar aloft on the ocean breezes. Your day will end with dinner at the hotel.

Day 7 - Following breakfast, check out and depart for Prince Edward Island. Board the ferry to cross the Northumberland Strait into Canada's smallest province.
