Live Life Better Derbyshire supports people to identify their holistic health and wellbeing needs, and provides weight management, smoking cessation and physical activity services across Derbyshire.

The post holder will contribute to the delivery of the Live Life Better Derbyshire service by assisting with the various referral processing pathways within the central hub team. A wide variety of duties will be undertaken including answering incoming queries, dealing with potential and current clients and carrying out a range of ad hoc administration tasks.

In addition, the Business Services Assistant will also support Live Life Better Derbyshire in the provision of Nicotine Replacement Therapies to Smoking Cessation clients, as well as supporting the weight management and physical activity services with a variety of administration tasks.

The post will be based within the Live Life Better Derbyshire Hub Team. Working within a very busy office, the successful candidate will require a good level of IT literacy including proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook along with the ability to adapt to bespoke databases. The ability to use Microsoft Office 365 and its associated applications would be an advantage. It is also essential that the successful candidate has excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate with a wide range of individuals whilst maintaining a professional attitude.

Temporary Housing Options Triage Officer JOB/20/02878 £22,182.70 per annum, Grade 7 SCP 12-17 ● 37 hours per week ● Council Offices, Mill Lane, Wingerworth, Chesterfield Full Time ● Fixed Term for 2 years from start date

Do you have the passion, drive and energy to make a difference to help prevent homelessness?

We are looking for a self-motivated, enthusiastic individual who is experienced with the Homelessness Reduction Act legislation.

As the Housing Options Triage Officer you will be working with our housing options team providing proficient homelessness prevention and housing options services. You will need to be able to handle a high volume of individuals presenting themselves as at risk of homelessness, alongside other duties as below:

Key responsibilities of the Triage Officer: Provide a professional and friendly front of house triage service for residents requiring homelessness assistance.

 Acknowledging and responding to all new homelessness and housing advice enquiries that are received by the Housing Options Service.  Managing Triage cases and making relevant rapid referrals to support organisations in preparation for case hand over to the Housing Options Team.  Providing advice and assistance to applicants to prevent homelessness  including liaising with housing options advisors, landlords, registering on the housing register, private renting options and liaising with housing and support providers to develop viable housing options.  Managing appointment calendars.  Assisting the Housing Options Officers with their homelessness investigations through speaking to customers and key agencies.

Previous practical experience of working in a busy housing or welfare benefits organisation or environment with experience of interviewing clients, debt management and financial inclusion issues would be advantageous. Good written, oral, communication and negotiation skills together with being proficient in IT and a full current driving licence and access to a vehicle are all essential requirements. This post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service check at Basic/Enhanced level.
