APPLICATION FOR REGISTRATION OF HERALDIC REPRESENTATIONS AND OBJECTIONS THERETO

SECTIONS 7, 7AAND 78 OF THE HERALDRY ACT, 1962 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1962)

The undermentioned bodies and persons have applied in terms of section 7 of the Heraldry Act, 1962 (Act No. 18 of 1962), for the registration of their heraldic representations. Anyone wishing to object to the registration of these heraldic representations on the grounds that such registrations will encroach upon rights to which he or she is legally entitled should do so within one month of the date of publication of this notice upon a form obtainable from the State Herald, Private Bag X236, Pretoria, 0001. 1. APPLICANT: South African National Blood Service (H4/3/1/3959)

BADGE: On a background Argent, a goutte, the sinister curve fracted and curved inwards into the form of a stylised human heart, all in umbra, Gules.

2. APPLICANT: The Thomas Loxton Family League (H4/3/1/4078)

ARMS: Argent, a chevron checky between in chief two pheasants proper and in base a rod of aesculapius Sable, the head in the form of a torch, with flames and snake Gules; a chief Azure, in each flank a full and a half peak to base, the half peaks against the respective edges of the shield Argent.

ARMS: Per chevron coupled Vert and Argent, in base dexter an open book Or, bound Sable, and sinister a maize cob proper, there below a cosmos flower also proper; a chief Or, over the partition line a chain per fess Sable and Argent, on the chief a barrulet enhanced nowy fitchy inverted, the point couped Azure, charged with a mineshaft wheel, thereupon a cogwheel all Argent, the axle in the form of a mascle, voided Sable. The shield is ensigned of a mural crown Or, there upon a bar Argent, charged with a bar wavy Azure. The shield is flanked on either side by a leaf Vert.

6. APPLICANT: Delmas Municipal Council (H4/3/2/157)

FLAG: A rectangular flag proportion 2:3 per chevron coupled green and white, in base dexter an open yellow book, bound black, and sinister a maize cob proper, there below a cosmos flower also proper; a yellow chief, over the partition line a chain per fess black and white, on the chief a blue barrulet enhanced nowy fitchy inverted, the point couped, charged with a mineshaft wheel, thereupon a cogwheel all of white, the axle in the form of ~ mascle, voided of black.

7. APPLICANT: Kungwini Local Municipality (H4/3/2/816)

ARMS: Azure, issuant from a bridge Or, masoned Sable, with two arches Argent, a demi-sun Or, and in base three barrulets wavy Argent; on a chief Or, between two ears of wheat Vert, a pile inverted Argent, fimbriated Sable, there-upon an ox head proper. The shield is ensigned of a coronet Or, heightened of four cosmos flowers and alternated with as many slices of brown bread, all proper, issuant from the coronet a demi-cogwheel STAATSKOERANT. 23 NOVEMBER 2007 No.30485 13

Gules, ensigned with a quatrefoil Argent. The shield is flanked on either side by a maize-cob and leaves proper.

8. APPLICANT: Metsimaholo Local Municipality (H4/3/2/817)

ARMS: Per fess wavy Or and Vert, and in chief per chevron inverted embowed throughout Argent, a chevron inverted embowed throughout Azure, charged with a chevron inverted embowed Argent, between dexter a cogwheel and sinister a laboratory boiling flask all Sable, in base two chevronels coupled charged with a third all of the first, a base wavy Argent and Azure. The Shield is ensigned of a Basotho Hat and flanked on either side of a sprig of seeded grass proper.

9. APPLICANT: Greater Marble Hall Municipality (H4/3/2/825)

ARMS: Per chevron coupled the peaks embattled Or and Vert, in chief a plough proper, on a base wavy Argent and Azure a railway line in perspective Sable and Or. The shield is ensigned of a coronet or, charged with a bar of marble proper, heightened of four oranges and alternated with as many balls of cotton proper. The shield is flanked on either side by a leafed bunch of grapes, a spinach leaf and an ear of wheat.

ARMS: Quarterly, Argent and Or, over the division line, a wooden cross throughout proper, between in chief dexter a black bear, and sinister a severed closed dexter hand, and in base dexter a representation of the Tower of Trajan and sinister a lion rampant all proper, charged on the cross, at honour point an eagle with wings displayed, in its beak a cross in pale, all Or, on the upper limb an eight pointed faceted mullet Argent, and on the dexter and sinister limbs each representations of the obverse and reverse sides of an ancient golden Roman Koson coin proper.
