SECTIONS 7, 7AAND 78 OF THE HERALDRY ACT, 1962 (ACT NO. 18 OF 1962)

The undermentioned bodies and persons have applied in terms of section 7 of the Heraldry Act, 1962 (Act No. 18 of 1962), for the registration of their heraldic representations. Anyone wishing to object to the registration of these heraldic representations on the grounds that such registrations will encroach upon rights to which he she is legally entitled should do so within one month of the date of publication of this notice upon a form obtainable from the State , Private Bag X236, Pretoria, 0001. ARMS: Per chevron coupled and Argent, in base dexter an open book Or, bound Sable, and sinister a maize cob proper, there below a cosmos flower also proper; a chief Or, over the partition a chain per Sable and Argent, on the chief a barrulet enhanced nowy fitchy inverted, the point couped Azure, charged with a mineshaft wheel, thereupon a cogwheel all Argent, the axle in the form of a mascle, voided Sable. The shield is ensigned of a mural Or, there upon a Argent, charged with a bar wavy Azure. The shield is flanked on either side by a leaf Vert.

FLAG: A rectangular flag proportion 2:3 per chevron coupled green and white, in base dexter an open yellow book, bound black, and sinister a maize cob proper, there below a cosmos flower also proper; a yellow chief, over the partition line a chain per fess black and white, on the chief a barrulet enhanced nowy fitchy inverted, the point couped, charged with a mineshaft wheel, thereupon a cogwheel all of white, the axle in the form of ~ mascle, voided of black.

8. APPLICANT: Metsimaholo Local Municipality (H4/3/2/817)

ARMS: Per fess wavy Or and Vert, and in chief per chevron inverted embowed throughout Argent, a chevron inverted embowed throughout Azure, charged with a chevron inverted embowed Argent, between dexter a cogwheel and sinister a laboratory boiling flask all Sable, in base two chevronels coupled charged with a third all of the first, a base wavy Argent and Azure. The Shield is ensigned of a Basotho Hat and flanked on either side of a sprig of seeded grass proper.
