Цель пособия – развитие устной, не связанной со специальностью студента, речи с помощью ряда конкретных коммуникативных ситуаций. Пособие состоит из шести тематических циклов по темам: Оренбургский государственный университет, День студента, Оренбургская область, Россия, Великобритания, США. Каждый из циклов включает тематически сгруппированный список слов, который дает представление о том, какого рода лексику необходимо проработать прежде чем приступить к чтению текстов и выполнению упражнений. Последовательное выполнение серии упражнений позволяет постепенно сформировать речевые умения, элементы иноязычного коммуникативного поведения в ситуациях реального общения. Основные методические принципы пособия вытекают из последовательной реализации коммуникативного подхода к обучению устной речи: от простого к сложному, моделирование типичных коммуникативных ситуаций, поэтапность формирования речевых умений, комплексность материала и т.д. Пособие рассчитано на 60 часов аудиторных и такое же время самостоятельной работы студентов.
